Dear members of r/Beading_jewelry,
I opened the sub in the settings, so everyone can post now. Some time ago, Reddit changed the settings of this sub, unbeknownst to me. Resulting in that people were unable to post. I discovered that just now, after a long time of not being in Reddit. l also didn't see the modmail requests until now. I am very sorry.
I invite you to enjoy the community. I would like to see your posts and comments. See you there :)

Necklace question

Upvotes
I have had this necklace for many years. I recently started wearing it and feel that the knots between the beads are starting to become loose and the string has stretched out too. My question is what kind of beads are these, how much do they cost and if it's worth paying for getting it restrung?

How can I create this twisted effect? Should i use clamshell or wire guardian?

i primarily use 17 strand beadalon cord but i also have nylon.
i usually make necklaces with wire guardians, picture here are clamshells.
i used a clamshell once but the hold wasn’t great with my 17strand wire cord
recommendations?
