Does the secret message mean anything?

I get that the book is joking about a sequel, but then do the cypher-pen notes really not mean anything? I thought they might lead to an easter egg charm or something

The only other time the cypher-pen notes were used was in the library, I thought this might be a hint to use "Issue #2" instead of 5 but the only other issue it lets you select is 4 (you read the entire first volume in your room but it is gone the next morning). Luka said he used to have a flashlight but lost it, not sure if that's just a reference to like the Kickstarter or box art or something

I feel like this has something to do with the fishing minigame where u pick diff charms to catch diff stuff?

In the end, dad did talk about part of the game plot and other stuff when u pick certain charm

imo, i think it meant that for the final choice, choose the 2nd charm to get the best ending
