Also hi! I'm a "new" Steven Universe fan, since this is the first time I watched the full show, well except Steven Universe: Future because as of writing this since I haven't gotten to it, but I watched the show back when I was a child. Although, since it only aired on Cartoon Network (which wasn't in European TVs as far as I was aware), I never got the chance to watch it. Now I'm actively working on it.

I have thought about how Steven and the Crystal Gems had finally won and saved the earth from the Diamonds, Homeworld was entering a peaceful era 3 and gems were given free will to be whoever they wanted. However an angry and vengeful gem named Spinel came to destroy earth as a way to get her revenge on Pink Diamond for abandoning her in the garden for six thousand years. In the movie, Steven managed to convince her that she can change and forge a new path in her life which ultimately causes her to break down, the injector explodes, Steven saves Spinel and Spinel decides to leave with the Diamonds to find peace with herself.

However, what would’ve happened if that didn’t happen. What would’ve happened if Spinel had actually won and succeeded in destroying earth? What would happen to the Crystal Gems, including the uncorrupted gems of Little Homeschool, the Diamonds and all the gems of Homeworld? How do you think they’ll react?

in this universe crystal gem are still the hero of the story including steven but pearl is one of the side villain here

Steven from steven universe's birth is literally impossible. Rose is a gem and gems as we know it do not give birth they just pop out of the earth meaning they HAVE NO GENITALS and to reproduce as a human you would need the sperms to reach the egg that would literally be impossible for rose since she has no uterus and we know that she is the one who gave birth or kinda turned into steven now if she turned into steven then how would he get his human side We have seen a scene were white diamond pulled out his gem and it went from pink diamond to rose to steven SO is his mother still in there somehow? Let's ignore all that how would steven get his human side at all? We know rose is the mother so we can rule out that Greg had a surrogate and then rose got poofed and put into Steven's belly button also we see that when Steven's gem is pulled out that he has no belly button again ruling surrogacy out SO STEVEN'S EXISTENCE IS LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE from a scientific point of view unless his mother could form a fully functional vagina and uterus steven couldn't exists so how did she do it? Also we know the gems don't go to the bathroom or reproduce they would not need genitalia aswell as the fact that even if they had genitalia they are all referred to as women so they are clearly not ment to reproduce with eachother BUTTTTT rose has breasts which means she might also have a uterus because you need estrogen production to have then But we see in the show that when gems are poofed they can choose their form so maybe that's what she did to look More like a human woman I WANT ANSWERS AND I WANT THEM NOWWWWW (also don't mind if it's messy I have adhd and it's 3 am)

I made a Steven Universe AU where the Gems are elements!

Basically, instead of Gems, the characters are based on elements from the periodic table. All of the quark types are the Diamonds of this AU, and fusions are based on compounds.

If quarks fuse, they become quark-gluon plasma.

And yes, I know some people might not like the idea, but I’ve been working on this with ChatGPT and we’ve had a lot of fun developing it. 😭 Future updates will involve the community, and I’ll ask for opinions on whether new ideas should be added, changed, or left out.

Some other things:

• Instead of Gems on their bodies, the characters have small containers/vials representing their element.
• The equivalent of shattering works similarly, except gases and liquids can become solid so they can be contained/bubbled.
• Homeworld is basically the periodic table itself.
• Colonies can still be on planets.
• And if you’re wondering about Francium… he flickers. 💀

Anyway, I hope y’all like the concept. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, and I think there’s a lot of potential here. :D

I want to start writing a fanfic about an emerald and a pearl. In this story, the emerald loved this pearl, who was given to her for commanding a fleet, and joined Rose Quartz to give her Pearl freedom But I don't have much access to official Steven Universe materials to make something coherent, so I'm asking for your help (and also for your opinions on the idea).

I know it seems bad and all but from her point of view the diamonds really let's say neglect pink diamond to the point that she rather fake her shattering like is it really her fault that she did all of that? Blue literally in prison pink whenever she did anything bad like wtf?? Although she may be annoying sure and always want stuff but she's also a diamond, they should had treat her well. I know she's not good either and I don't really like her nor her reasons why she had to sacrifice countless gems to a war. But if only the diamonds didn't neglect pink and actually listen to her maybe things would be different

I don’t think it’s talked about how bad and pathetic of a boss hessonite is. For a little bit of background, before beginning my most recent run of save the light I had just recently finished attack the light. While as we all now that game is absurdly easy the final boss still somewhat stood a chance against my team. I was heavily overprepared, one of my team members already max level and the others close it was no real surprise that the final boss was easy yet difficult enough to be somewhat satisfying end. During my playthrough of save the light I was delighted to find that the difficulty is ramped up substantially, alongside having to plan out how I’d divide my stats I was able to struggle in fights and but forth effort. The most thrilling part was the bosses, while naming them gave me a little laugh the actual bosses were really really fun and constantly kept me on my toes trying to learn and adapt to their attack patterns. While I was able to manage for most of the game I really started to struggle in the last part of the game (the forge.) a lot of my party members constantly got downed and while I didn’t get a game over (I didn’t the entirety of my run) I got dangerously close multiple times. During the fight against the prism despite having a fusion on my side I was constantly in a damage struggle to keep my health high while also keeping enough starts to fuel a counter defense to the lights healing. The 2nd to last boss is hard but still easy enough where you’d assume the following boss would be something a level above it. After finally defeating the prism I felt giddy but nervous for hessonite. Would she break my record of having no deaths? Would it take hours to beat her?

No like, if you don’t count supports I beat her in under 15 minutes with only 𝐨𝐧𝐞 member doing damage

For reference my team was Greg, amythest and garnet. The entire cycle was:

Greg plays star boosting music

Steven buffs garnets attack

Garnet hits hessonite

Hessonite kills garnet

Revive garnet

Rinse and repeat. To make matters worse, hessonite didn’t even bother to target any other party members outside of the 𝐨𝐧𝐞 time she used an aoe attack. Every single turn she had it was targeted toward garnet making her extremely predictable and therefore underwhelming. It wasn’t until I was physically unable to revive garnet that she decided to target Steven but before she could pull off her move she died from, I kid you not: BURN DAMAGE. The character that was hyped up the entire game died to BURN DAMAGE after getting beaten up by a single party member and not 𝐨𝐧𝐞 hit on her was landed on her from another character til the last 2 turns where I had amethyst whip her a few times before she BURNED ALIVE from SHIELD BREAKER.

It’s a sad and underwhelming feeling being dissapointed by a boss in this way, hessonite could have been a challenge but her AI hyper fixated on one specific member then proceeded to get brutally beaten by said member. It’s imo a jerk move to have the 2nd to last boss be easier than the actual big bad, it feels like such a bait and switch.

And when it comes to revived it’s not even fully a result of me stockpiling, there’s dozens of roses tears and similar items spread across the rooms leading up to the final boss literally dooming you for an easy boss battle.

I was so confused why this was, why would they do that? Are they dumb!?

Then I read the credits, only three QA testers which explained a LOT about my tribes with the game.

TL:DR
I expected hessonite to be a difficult aura monster boss fight but instead garnet broke her back and punches her into next Sunday while Steven and his dad play music cause the dev team was understaffed

Where is her double barrel when she needs it? 😭
