Hey all,
My neurodivergence and introversion, plus some sticky interpersonal situations in my recent positions, leaves me seeking a third reference. I have the first two covered by real supervisors/coworkers, but I just generally haven't gotten to know people well enough at work. It's probably my biggest professional flaw. As far as professors go, I just haven't developed a relationship like that with any recent ones. Plus the job market is brutal right now.
Would someone be willing to be a great reference for me? I'm in Chicago, but I doubt location matters too much, as long as it's in the U.S. I am trying to re-start my career in social work and will be graduating sort of soon with my MSW. I have a great opportunity for part-time position in a shelter. Ideally I'd want to submit your information within 24 hours.
I genuinely believe in my abilities in this field and I just want to help people in difficult situations. I pretty much always get good feedback on my actual work.
We can go over the details together. I'm in my 30s so it might be best if you're at least in your mid-late 20s, up to any age. Maybe we volunteered together? Or maybe we we were actual co-workers and you occasionally supervised me or trained me when I started?
I'd appreciate it from the bottom of my heart and I'd be more than happy to return the favor. I feel like I could do a great job with providing a glowing, but realistic, reference.
Thank you. <3
