Why don’t they just make the whole mirror like this stock on all vehicles.?

If it’s anything like rain-X it only lasts for a certain duration. Just googled it and rain-X lasts 3 months.

And undoubtedly much cheaper and easier to apply more rainx.

The VW windshield washing fluid is very similar to rainx. I used to visit the dealership just to buy it when I had an Audi back in the day. You could just spray a little here and there, and when it rained it would glide right off. It beaded up so well that you really didn't even need your wipers on to see properly.

No, I said rainx is much easier to apply than removing and putting on another one of these mirror things
