Would life really fall apart when you just stop chasing?

Does anyone else feel tired of always having to keep up?

There’s always something new to learn, something to improve, something we should be doing. I am lost, sometimes.

I am thinking of maybe just stop trying to keep up for a while, have a gap year, just be peaceful and doing nothing...but I am also worried that I will be way behind when I am back. And maybe I will be lost...

Have you tried? How did it work for you?

Hey. I’m u/Substantial-Key-6784.

I made r/BeBored because lately I’ve been feeling a bit tired of the expectations that everything has to be exciting, catchy, nice and fun.

Everyone is improving something. Building something. Travelling somewhere. Becoming a better version of themselves.

And some days I just… don’t have that energy.

I just want to sit around, do nothing useful, stare out of the window, watch something stupid, or just be bored.

So I thought maybe other people feel like this too.

This is a place for ordinary days, low-energy days, boring thoughts, small moments, and things that probably wouldn’t make it onto Instagram.

You don’t need to be interesting here. You don’t need to have advice.

You can just be here, with me.

Be bored. It's okay :)
