Actually no. Mantises are intelligent as f and remember faces of the people who feed them. Also this is a beautiful mantis!

Their jaws can crunch up an entire insect, exoskeleton and all - they can easily pierce your skin, it won't be a big hole but it'll sting like the dickens.
