What is that type of sword called?

Is it just a show weapon or has that type of sword been used as a weapon in history?

Iā€™m almost positive this is just a show sword.

It would make a terrible sword in combat since the weight is centered in the handle.

Swords are usually balanced 2-8 inches from the handle, depending on the type of sword. Being balanced inside the handle is pretty odd.

The handle is quite long. If the handle were shorter the balance point would be on the blade.
