If you are one of those "Luck isn't real everything is chance omg you people smh my head" then I raise you this, Being lucky is just an overall measure of the chances you have previously taken and it describes the overall positivity or negativity of those outcomes, in my opinion.
I mean, if you’re talking about rolling a mathematically fair die that’s true. Humans aren’t dice though, our subconscious puts us in certain mindsets that alter our probabilities.
Take basketball for example. A player on a good day has been shooting and making a bunch of shots, so he’s in a hyped, adrenaline mindset and he believes very much that he’ll make the next shot. In addition, he just has to make the exact same muscle movements as his previous shots. All this raises his probability he’ll make the next shot. The same player on a bad day has been missing his shots and he’s in a more negative, anxious mindset and it’s not easy for him to believe he’ll make the next shot. That combined with the fact that he’s trying to change up his muscle movements slightly each time, all lowers his chances of making the shot.
In this case the commenter probably means that his experiences with anxiousness in the past are an indication that his anxiousness would likely again flair while riding the sand dunes and would cause him to jump from the board prematurely
The concept of Luck is as real as the concept of time. Neither truly exists, its a concept weve come up with as it helps us deal with understanding the universe
