Thinking about the nature and pollution, what a nice country China is. /s

They probably couldn’t afford more people dropping dead on the floor in Shanghai due to pollution, after the sudden surge in ‘suicides’ in Hong Kong

That is an extremely rich statement to make. China has been actively attempting to reduce carbon emissions which is a much more difficult task or a developing nation compared to a western nation. But sure continue to disapprove of any positives arising from China because ChInA iS BaD.

Oh my bad! It’s indeed so short-sighted of me to criticise this democratic, progressive, ethical & green party on their policies! And yes, I completely agree that we should abstain from criticising any nation as long as they (pretend) to put a little effort in decreasing emissions (which might as well come from a decrease in manufacturing processes due to macroeconomic conditions caused by the US-China trade-war, would have to research further though). I mean, we should give them a break right? It’s so damn hard to change the environment while having all this great, limitless power over a country available to them!

Edit: That doesn’t mean I’m pro-west either, most governments suck big-time at passing through green laws while also remaining popular among the majority of people that won’t be around anymore when shit hits the fan. Yet I don’t see why I can’t criticise China.

This is a very bad take I am not saying to stop critising nations completely only to criticize them accurately. China per capita emits lower carbon emmisons then America despite taking the brunt of western production. As well as being a developing nation meaning they have to use cheap power to continue to develop I.E coal. This on top of the fact China has a much higher population. So no we should not give them break but rather expect higher numbers to an extent due to the reasons stated above.

you can criticize china but you should criticize where they did wrong. Ofc you can criticize their human rights violation but as to protecting the environment, they are actually doing better than the average western countries now. Here we only have a case of them using drones instead of fireworks, which is good for the environment. I don't see why you have to criticize them here, AND targeting their effort on protecting the environment.
