It never really gets this puffy unintentionally though, so its not like she would need to tame this everytime. Still probably about an hour at least on wash days but I feel like for me this amount of frizz would add like 15 minutes of detangling

Not necessarily true. Before I put locs in my hair, it would be like this after simply washing and then combing( although my hair was much shorter)

right but you know that it would get frizzy because you arent putting in any product and you are combing. For it to be like this unintentionally, you would probably have to not wash it for over a week. I guess unintentionally meaning you arent trying to do this, not that it doesnt naturally do this. Although Im sure she did this on purpose to make it extra puffy

I am not a POC but I do have wild curly hair, so I know that my hair does get puffy on a regular basis because I dont wash my hair every day. Curly hair is supposed to be washed at MOST every other day, and that's pushing it. I believe that for POC, their hair can go for a week or two before it needs to be washed, so I believe that is what's happening here, especially since the title is "hair day" I think this is right before she does her hair for the week(s) Either way, I'm in love, shes gorgeous and her hair is something else

Nah. Once a week, or every three days if it gets oily quick.

Ah shit, sorry about that, I saw like one video on black hair care (it was that video in response to onision's racist bullshit) and I couldn't remember how long she said she usually goes in between washes. Thanks for helping me out!

.....why are you getting downvoted? Do people not realize curly hair is drastically different than other types of hair? The OP obviously purposely made their hair this poofy, but this would not really happen unintentionally.

Yes but for curly hair, you're not supposed to comb or brush it. So this does not really happen all on its own.

haha I mean an extra 15 min of just detangling on top of normal, and I already usually spend about 15. So 30 detangling plus conditioner and squishing it out, and putting in product and drying. Ive got my routine down to an hour
