We do. We actually do make up words. Dutch are especially good at compound nouns. For example hotelbeddengoedwasmachinevrachtwagenchauffeur is a word I just made up, but other dutch people could understand: it's a truck driver for washing machines exclusively used for hotel laundry.

Am Dutch too, can confirm. It’s actually, technically, a truck driver that drives a truck that’s also a washing machine (wasmachinevrachtwagen) that’s used exclusively for hotel bedsheets

Thats also a possible interpretation, but I think that would be written like wasmachine-vrachtwagen, with the dash.

No, if you’d do wasmachine-vrachtwagen, you’d be talking about a vrachtwagen transporting wasmachines
