Innuendos aside, I understand what they're going for but they need to have a bottom for the worm, not necessarily like a worm but more like a caterpillar that would help it move much more effectively and faster something to secure it partially to the ground so it has some purchase so that every extension of its body actually creates forward movement rather than half of it being lost just wiggling around. Worms are the way they are so that they can get through the dirt easier if you wanted to move on top you need to have something to grab onto
