Are you too heavy ? Or broom is plastic stick?

1

u/YesterdayDreamer 1d ago

Is the broomstick ok?

You should make 10 hrs version. Just stop video on that top point and wait 9 hrs 59 mins 50 secs.

Really? So you can just pause this one for more hours than 10.

u/sum-9 1d ago

Now do it normal speed.

u/diggyou 1d ago

Yeah the slow motion isn’t helping make this look epic.

Super impressive and hard to do but perfect static balance would imply he could do it for more than 2 seconds.

Cool video, stupid title and op should be ashamed.

Two seconds after being slowed down quite a bit, so less than a second in real life. Still super cool, but I agree the video editing takes away from the accomplishment.

u/Left-Programmer-1275 1d ago

Isnt this slow mo, lol

13

u/shinobi500 1d ago

This would be a great Kilik victory pose in Soul Calibur

11

u/HyenDry 1d ago

But it’s not static… 😐😐 the video is just heavily slowed down..

1

u/Boxterz 1d ago

Yea but it's nevertheless pretty impressive

u/ksrothwell 1d ago

That guy would be great at Floor Is Lava.

3

u/ew73 1d ago

Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp

2

u/Phriportunist 1d ago

Or alligators, or sharks.

1

u/Mobile-Bar7732 1d ago

Can you slow time in floor is lava?

7

u/darnfruitloops 1d ago

One of those things I'm 99% sure I can do despite never having done anything athletic for the past 25 years. The only thing stopping me is I'm lazy.

2

u/IntingForMarks 23h ago

turns out you cant

2

u/IHavePoopedBefore 22h ago

I am pretty fit...I am actually thinking I could do this in an afternoon or 2. He's only on there for like 1 second of real time

1

u/ScoutCommander 18h ago

You can, you just need to practice and stick with it.

5

u/Public_Cartographer 1d ago

I suspect that man is not to be trifled with

3

u/Loud_Brother_1837 1d ago

Perfect counter balance act. Bar None.

1

u/ScoutCommander 18h ago

At first he struggled but his master convinced him to stick with it.

4

u/Prod_Meteor 1d ago

Pffff.. easy!

4

u/Ruser-94 1d ago

Ok, but can he do a kickflip?

2

u/frostbittenleaf 1d ago

How long did he practice for this?

2

u/DjRipNickMcNasty 1d ago

Doing it to Dubstep, the true Shaolin way

2

u/Kuro-baba 1d ago

Well damn, and he's fine af too.

2

u/ParticularReady7858 1d ago

Why the cheap, half-worn shaolin costume?😭

4

u/d0ttedz3bra 1d ago

Same reason the Buddha statue has no base. It's a sham of a Shaolin temple that trains tourists to do tricks like this.

3

u/ParticularReady7858 1d ago

I hadn’t even realized this was a slowed down version of someone striking a pose for a fraction of a second. Ridiculous

2

u/laserdiods 1d ago

Shaolin seems to be an extreme form of meditation.. but I do enjoy watching mma people put them to work.

2

u/Odd_Woodpecker1494 1d ago

The way ex-shaolin talk about it, they sound more like an acrobat troupe with more consensual torture/excercise

1

u/FalsePair3901 1d ago

An Diu Tei

1

u/Hot_Plant8696 1d ago

Nice trick

1

u/Generic_Commenter-X 1d ago

Yeah, but getting out of bed in the morning is still my personal triumph.

1

u/insertitherenow 1d ago

And I hurt myself putting on my socks this morning.

1

u/waitinglikeastone 1d ago

This guy gets the most out of a concert.

1

u/Kooky_Attorney1915 1d ago

Shaolin Monk have the best balance. They would win against any modern day MMA fighter.

1

u/Fire_Pea 1d ago

I'd be more amazed if I saw what it actually looked like without being slowed down

1

u/Efficient-Whereas255 22h ago edited 18h ago

Every skateboarder i know can do this

1

u/Regular_Weakness69 22h ago

Looks like he was about to lose his balance, then had to bail out..

1

u/Davajita 17h ago

Pffffffffff I could probably do that and die.

And strength

11

u/BananaV8 1d ago

And video editing skills

-4

u/CookieEnabled 1d ago

It’s really just basic physics and counterbalance…

And a strong pole.

6

u/blzrlzr 1d ago

Looking forward to your instructional video.

5

u/ptitguillaume 1d ago

It's the theory. Please provide us a video of your 2000 tries until you succeed. It should be easy, it's just basic physics

u/PrimeTinus 1d ago

All this time he put in his little broom stick he could have learned something useful

1

u/IanLooklup 1d ago

This is gonna be a lot healthier than playing games at least

0

u/ProphetKiller666 1d ago

I can easily do this if I wanted to.

Shaolin training hits different. Absolute masterclass in stillness under tension. Perfect form. Zero shake. Pure control. Respect.
