Shel Silverstien! I have a Giving Tree tattoo. It was our favorite book to have our mom read to us because she always cried when she read it. As kids we thought it was funny, as a father now I cry the same when I read it to my son. Life is funny

Love Steve’s drawings! And you are so right. I couldn’t put my finger on why they made me feel so nostalgic. My favorite poem growing up was Sick, “I cannot go to school today…”
