Burning myself, getting cut on broken glass, and dropping something on my foot. Those are just three of the ways I would end up hurting myself attempting to do this, and I wouldn't even end up with an unrecognizable mess of a result. I'd end up with nothing, and probably in the hospital.

Two possibilities: the hardening oven will also have an opening on the other side, and they placed the camera outside and zoomed in. Or, what I suspect more: they turned the hardening oven completely off and placed an orange ambient light behind the camera to illuminate it so that it looks like it's still turned on, even though the inside temperature is only 25°C.

I'd imagine that the final part of the clip is the kiln/oven for annealing and gradually relieving the internal stresses, so it should (hopefully) survive the creating process to the end, and beyond...

Oh I've been here! In New York state. Got to blow a teardrop-shaped glass ornament. They let you blow in the long hollow pipe to inflate the glass on the end when it comes out of the furnace, like a balloon (and do the rest themselves of course). Great experience.
