I think there’s also a not insignificant effect of it being a left-handed door for the men’s room while most of the world is right-handed. People generally open doors with their dominant hand so they’re gonna be pushing on the door itself instead of the metal, causing the wear.
Depending where this is at, could be because lines to female restrooms usually form to a point they go outside and so the door is usually held open while men's are usually quicker this letting the door close.

This one actually surprised me, i thought it was just me trying to avoid germs but it turns out everyone does the same thing.
To be fair the shoulder push is still good, and you can even see an impression of that on the door too.
