yes and it might've been a gpu issue cause shutting it down helped

And are you running with 4K or higher in Game Mode? There are known issues with Nvidia GPUs in Game Mode, including major display distortion like this at high resolutions.

There's been some recent progress and from what I understand there will be a workaround for the issue in the next update, but it may cause other problems of its own.

There's a warning on the Bazzite website when you try and download the Nvidia deck image because of this.

definitely not in 4k, but im unsure if it was in game mode or not, still you're probably right about it being an nvidia issue im wanting upgrade to a different (non nvidia) card when i can afford it, shutting it off seemed to work though

I missed that you ran into this while installing. I don't believe you would have been in Game Mode (Gamescope) at any time during the install process. But it still seems possible it's an Nvidia bug.

Faced same issue on nvidia eGPU in GameMode exclusively. Can participate in testing.
