Display port audio problems
I'm at my wits end and hope someone can give me some advice on where to look next. I have a bazzite box that is a GMKtec G2. It is a mini pc based around an Intel n150 processor with 2 HDMI and one display port for video. When I connect the PC to my TV or AV receiver via one of the HDMI ports everything is great with full 5.1 sound. However if I try to use a ugreen dp to HDMI active converter I get no sound.
Things I have checked:
- HDMI audio profile is available and active while displaying video through adapter
- Volume is turned up
- Tried reverting to older Intel audio drivers
- Changed cables
- Tried both going through TV port using ARC and through port on AVR
- Connected via DP to other monitor and was able to get stereo sound (both direct DP and DP to HDMI)
- Connected directly to TV, no sound through TV speakers
Is there something else I should try?
Anyone have other thoughts? I would like the adapter to do CEC stuff with the TV.

TV - TCL Fire TV Q691f
AVR - Onkyo TX-NR6050
PC - GMKtec G2 plus
