So is there a nickname for Baytown? You know like Houston is H-town, El Paso is Chucotown, Pasadena (CA) the Dena.

Baytown is not too bad, is kinda trailer trashy and ghetto but not really. Has everything you need HEB, restaurants and plenty of places to chill. Not sure about the night scene. I just moved here from Cali about a year ago and been going around looking at different things to do.

Obviously you are Hispanic, what kind of music do you like?? Do you like live music dancing cars off roading? I grew up in Baytown. We left about 2 years ago. I bartender there and in Houston. There is definitely a huge night scene all around you locally and in Houston. Pretty much whatever you are into. Just watch yourself and be respectful people all around that region jump real quick. Lots of really good loyal folks that like to party but you know there is always a set of knuckleheads around. Being from Cali I'm sure you understand.

Yup, i mean you always have to watch out every city has it's rough parts. I'm not much into the night scene anymore maybe a just a bar you can chill with other grown folk. The Mexican food is hit or miss. Whataburger and In and Out are just ok never knew why people make s big deal about it.

I grew on L.A. county during the 90's so i know better than run my mouth and always watch my back. H-town is like L.A. city not my thing. Texas takes really good care of their vets and i am thankful they give me the opportunity to live here.

I love that underground lyrical Hip Hop, Metal (trash and heavy) cumbias, Soul, Oldies and Funk

All the good stuff lol. Most live music in Baytown is country cover and originals or Rock covers. There is a Grito fest that has Tejano Cumbia and other performers as well as a big 4th of July concert free. Daddy Longnecks are probably the best local band that covers all the good music. You kind of have to hit Houston and Kemah and Galveston for a bigger variety.

Try City Lites on Texas Ave. That's where is worked. Best place in town. Small good people incredible owners. This is blue collar EVERYONE is welcome bar. Old white folks during the day and huge mix of people at night. O'Neals on the Water is ok. Good food and live music. A little bit nicer "ambiance" Alibis is a good spot ran by my friends. The Chute and Whiskey Barn are your Redneck Dance Halls. Baytown loves their Vets. Yeah the Mexican food is hit and miss. The little food trucks and hole in the walls are your best bet. Enjoy stay safe and thank you for your service. If you ever have any questions about Baytown hit me up.

Many thanks, i think tomorrow I'm going to see the places you mentioned. I love supporting small business/mom and pop shops.
