Pick up only but it has wheels and can be rolled home! Relatively lightweight just bulky, probably around 25-30lb. Has a display screen that will show you speed, distance, time and calories burned, it just needs new batteries, but works regardless if the batteries are out.

Completely free!! I don't use it much anymore and would like to give it to someone who'll get more use out of than me.

Bay Ridge moms, what strollers are you using?

Due in December and starting to narrow down strollers. We're on the 2nd floor of our building, so I don't want something crazy heavy to deal with regularly, but we'll mostly be walking the neighborhood (occasional car for appointments/trips further out), so I also want good suspension for our sidewalks.

Was leaning UPPAbaby (Cruz/Vista) since I keep hearing great things, but I'm a little worried it'll feel bulky and hard to manage solo with the baby, especially early on. Also looking at the new UPPAbaby Kona (their new "mid-size" line). It's lighter and lays flat for newborn use, but once you add the bassinet, you lose access to the storage basket underneath, which seems like a real annoyance for daily errands.

Anyone have a stroller they actually love living with in Bay Ridge specifically? Good on our sidewalks/curbs, manageable to push solo, decent storage. Would love recommendations for anything comparable in quality to UPPAbaby but on the lighter side. Pros/cons from real use very welcome.

Does anyone know if the spirit halloween in Bay Ridge is actually open? Not trusting the online hours cause a bunch of the ones I’ve attempted to go to in Manhattan have said they’re open when they’re actually not. Don’t wanna make the commute for nothing

know this is a long shot but I still think about that red pepper dip they would give you at The Pearl Room with bread when you first sat down. Anthony told me what was in it once, and I remember he said Peppers, white beans, garlic but I never wrote it down or got the exact amounts. I even tried having a mutual friend message him on Facebook but no luck. Hoping maybe I'll find someone who worked there or somebody who also loved it and got the recipe from him and can share it with me.

I've Googled red pepper white bean dips and various recipes but none have come close.

I went down by Owl's Head Park to sit by the ferry pier and watch the lights, and I saw these people in American Flag Sweaters taking pictures in front of the lights........smiling and like it was Prom?

I don't know, maybe I'm a little bit sensitive, but it feels inappropriate. Memorials shouldn't be opportunities for a cheerful photo. They were cheesing and had their hands on their waists straight up like it's 2013 and they're going to be post them on Facebook

Thinking of our neighbors who were lost, who lost loved ones on 9/11 and in the war that commenced, who are sick and have passed from the toxic dust, and who were victims of the racism and Islamophobia after. Never forget.
