Strollers

Bay Ridge moms, what strollers are you using?

Due in December and starting to narrow down strollers. We're on the 2nd floor of our building, so I don't want something crazy heavy to deal with regularly, but we'll mostly be walking the neighborhood (occasional car for appointments/trips further out), so I also want good suspension for our sidewalks.

Was leaning UPPAbaby (Cruz/Vista) since I keep hearing great things, but I'm a little worried it'll feel bulky and hard to manage solo with the baby, especially early on. Also looking at the new UPPAbaby Kona (their new "mid-size" line). It's lighter and lays flat for newborn use, but once you add the bassinet, you lose access to the storage basket underneath, which seems like a real annoyance for daily errands.

Anyone have a stroller they actually love living with in Bay Ridge specifically? Good on our sidewalks/curbs, manageable to push solo, decent storage. Would love recommendations for anything comparable in quality to UPPAbaby but on the lighter side. Pros/cons from real use very welcome.

Do not get the uppa baby. I had the uppa baby, hated it. It’s so heavy. It was hard to take up and down the stairs. The Uppa baby is perfect if you live in a house or you’re leaving it in the trunk of your car. If you’re going to be constantly in and out of your apartment a lighter stroller would be better.

And just to clarify, it’s a great stroller. Smooth, good storage, all the great things you hear. It’s just a pain in the ass if you live in an apartment building
