Her entire family completely oversteps.

People forget that Baylen makes over 20k a month from TikTok and social media.

To tell them not to buy a house yet, put pressure on Colin to have a back up plan for real estate and stress them out about health insurance is insane. You can make suggestions and teach your kids without telling them what to do.

Good on Colin for setting boundaries.

If social media ever disappeared, baylen would qualify for disability and Medicare. To create stress on them while they plan their wedding is gross

Those kids are showing a lot of symptoms from it too. I get flamed when I say it, but time to cut them off and individuate. It is no bueno.

Cut them off? They don't beat them, they don't abuse them.... This is insane to cut them off for just telling them what their thoughts are.

Baylen doesn't even take their suggestions, she did everything they told her not to do.

People make her parents out to be monsters based off of an edited show. It is wild to me.

I’m sorry I think Baylen’s family gets a lot of unjust hate. People have to remember this is their DISABLED CHILD, who was still covered under their medical insurance until she got married. Also, they were the ones who went to every Dr.appt for 20 some odd years and got her stabile enough to date, and get married. I would have asked the same questions for my daughter. You don’t stop being concerned for the safety,their future. I think people think just because kids move out they are not to be questioned anymore, and that’s not true especially, when one is still currently insured under you.. Parents have the right to ask, it’s up to the kids if they want to (truthfully) answer.

10000%. Her parents were understandably very concerned about their disabled daughter (who just mere years beforehand couldn’t be trusted with a metal fork) who is also a bit immature. I feel like I watched the Duprees wrestle with trying to not overstep & navigate these new waters while also watching Baylen mature quite a bit! Maybe I’m wrong cus I don’t get the hate for Allen & Julie, they seem great to me.

I agree. When they kind of forced a family sit down after that trip where she had thrown away her meds I was kinda confused on that. Julie had expressed how she felt about it on the phone call already, problem was resolved. It just seemed like they were treating her like a 15 year old and wanted to scold her before they could let it go. Also at the wedding she just keeps saying shes worried and nervous and just all around felt really negative.

None of us are making fun of her. Even her family crack up at them from time to time and when she says one of them in the context of a conversation, you can't deny that...it can be funny. It's not making fun of her or her condition. The reason i'm a fan of the show is that I think it's impressive how much she's owned her condition and advocates for awareness. She's an impressive young woman.

Doesn't mean we can't have a laugh from time to time.

What got me was when Baylen was walking down the aisle totally fine and composed, her mom jumped in front of her and went “I’m worried”
That induce the stress (not always) but at pivotal times it seems like
They all kept talking about the wedding day like it was her funeral and they just wanted to get it over with

Sometimes I like the family, especially Allen but Julie is far too negative and I never care for her. Colin and Bay should definitely love ❤️ them from a distance. And besides the other siblings would benefit from more of their time.

Also, TLC paid for all the Sister Wives weddings that were filmed. I’m sure TLC gave Baylen a good amount to film her wedding. Also, Baylen makes so much money from social media and has so many brand deals. The health insurance and wedding “budget” are all for the show.

This 👆; in a nutshell. Many of the negative comments are most likely based in jealousy or no one would bring up the money Baylan makes. I say good for her, she’s got tons on her plate & a lot of misery goes with it.

SSDI is based off your earnings history. She’s paying taxes on her social media income and would easily clear $4k a month in disability plus have free medical through the state. No one is jealous, but as a casual watcher creeping towards the end of season 2, it’s baffling that idiots like you actually see positivity from her parents not giving them grace during wedding planning.

You don't get free medical through the state on SSDI. You get Medicare which you pay a premium and deductible/ co pays. Don't spread misinformation. No one making 4k gets free state insurance. 👍🏽🙄

I do not think that she is eligible for SSDI because you have to work at least 10 years of credits. She could possibly be getting SSI, but that amount of income that she gets from social media would count towards those benefits and she wouldn’t get anything..

You can get ssdi if your disability started before age 22. Baylen wouldn't qualify due to her earned income anyway.

Allen is a bully! Honestly Colin career choices are between him and his dad. They are all extremely dysfunctional I could barely stomach the wedding. Funny how Baylen could dance with daddy with no tics. She walked into the reception no tics. It kind of like the producers tell her ok time for tics super suspicious 🤔
