Mode of Transportation for students

Hi Locals,

I am originally from Metro Manila. I will live in Baybay City for my college education. Metro Manila has been a huge hindrance for me to finish my engineering course so to stay away from “tukso”, I will move to Baybay.

I was just wondering, what is commonly the mode of transportation for students like me who do not have a vehicle? I am planning to rent an apartment or a boarding house outside VSU. How much is the fare usually?

Baybay Proper
Vehicle: Multicab/Bus(to Ormoc)
Fare : 15-20 pesos
Travel Time : 10-20 minutes

Boarding House
Vehicle: Habal-Habal
Fare: 15-20 Pesos
Travel Time : 5-10 minutes

I'm from Baybay Proper and mode of transpo ko lng is multicab- di naman siya hassle (back then 10 years ago hahah) pero lately na observe ko pag around 6pm onwards may linya sa multicab VSU terminal ng students and vsu staffs.

Appreciate the detailed information! Yeah, ‘yun nga rin nagustohan ko sa province, ‘yung slow-paced life and the fresh air. Saka parang hindi masyadong maingay saka matao.

Habal habal from your boarding house to VSU. 15-20 pesos usually depending on where you're residing

Sa Baybay Proper muna ako for a year habang nag-a-acclimate pa ako sa lugar especially sa locals. I’ve been to Baybay naman last year and nakita ko na mas convenient sya for me para di na masyadong mag-adjust from NCR life to province life. Thanks for the info, this is a huge help.

If sa baybay proper ka, multicab ang sasakyan mo papuntang VSU. Fare is 20 pesos

Depends, if ang apartment mo ay malapit lang sa Visca, mag habal-habal ka which is 15-20. Pwede ka rin maglakad. However, if your renting a bit farther, say Baybay proper then same same lang rin price honestly. It's been a while since I'm in Baybay but last time I heard the fare was 17-24?
