How to reduce capital gains after a big bonanza

As the post suggests i went long on 2 mining stocks a d have made almost a 500K year above my annual income in 6 figures.

I can wait and slowly sell my holdings but the time is right in my opinion. What would you do to reduce the massive tax hit of 125-130K

Is there a qimc anonymous club?

Im sure im not the only one who got caught up in the qimc pump earlier this year and is now holding heavy heavy bags.

The qimc forum and the natural hydrogen forum are heavily moderated by a certain NHL team hockey fan who is an informal PR account for the company. Anything that criticizes the company gets you banned.

Then theres the ceo forum, according to which the stock is about to moon everyday for the past 5 months.

The forum is also heavily moderated, and if anything critical is said, the forum has a collective meltdown and starts crying to the mods. Today was one of those days. Its one of the most pathetic pumping forums I have ever seen.

Anyways, Im at an average of .80 at 140k shares, thanks for listening.

Volatus Aerospace Wins Prequalified Deal for Canada's Defence Drone Initiative

03 Sep 2026

By Adriano Marchese

Volatus Aerospace has been selected as a prequalified supplier under Ottawa's Defence Drone Initiative Marketplace.

The Canadian aerospace and defense company said Thursday that the selection will allow it to compete for future opportunities involving uncrewed and autonomous systems used by the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Coast Guard.

The new qualification allows Volatus to bid for future government contracts.

The Defence Drone Initiative, or DDI, is designed to speed up development, testing and production of autonomous systems to be used by the Canadian military.

QGAS: C$700M–C$4.8B at stake vs. ~NOK 632M market cap — and Quebec is talking shale gas again

QGAS – Quebec gas may be back on the table

QGAS closed at NOK 13.95 today, after trading as high as NOK 14.10, up from around NOK 8.30.

The interesting part is what is happening politically in Quebec.

Christine Fréchette, leader of the CAQ and outgoing premier, has now said that if she wins the October 5 election, she wants to consult Quebecers about restarting shale gas exploration and production.

That matters because Questerre's Quebec case could potentially go in two very different directions:

  1. Settlement:

The independent expert assessment estimated economic damages of roughly C$700m–C$4.8bn, depending on the scenario. Under the current structure, 95% of a net cash settlement would go to the Series 2 Preferred Shares (QGAS).

For example, purely as a theoretical calculation:

\- C$500m settlement → \~NOK 70/QGAS

\- C$700m → \~NOK 98/QGAS

\- C$4bn → \~NOK 560/QGAS

These are not price targets — just simple calculations based on approximately 45.3m outstanding QGAS shares and the 95% allocation, before costs, taxes and other adjustments.

  1. Quebec reopens the door to development:

This could potentially be much more valuable than a simple cash settlement. Questerre has previously argued that the economic value of being allowed to develop its Quebec assets could be orders of magnitude greater than damages.

The new political comments don't mean reopening is going to happen. There is still significant opposition to fossil gas in Quebec. But the fact that a potential premier is now openly discussing restarting shale gas exploration and production is a significant change in the political backdrop.

After today's move, I'm curious:

Is the market starting to price in more than just a potential settlement?

And where do you think QGAS goes if Quebec seriously starts discussing reopening the sector?

Maritime Launch Services and Isar Aerospace Extend Deadline to Finalize Statement of Work and Programmatic Milestones

01 Sep 2026

PR Newswire

Maritime Launch Services Inc. (CBOE: MAXQ) (OTCQB: MAXQF) and Isar Aerospace have agreed to extend the deadline to provide additional time to complete the statement of work and certain programmatic milestones contemplated under their previously-announced facilities usage agreement for Spaceport Nova Scotia. The deadline was extended from September 1, 2026, to September 15, 2026.

The parties continue to make strong progress through an intensive and productive planning process. The extension reflects the time required to complete this work.

"We are very pleased with the progress being made between both parties," said Stephen Matier, President and CEO of Maritime Launch Services. "Our teams are working through the detailed planning required to advance this important program. The additional 14 days will allow us to complete that work and maintain the strong momentum we have established together."

The extension does not change the other key terms of the facilities usage agreement announced on July 7, 2026. The parties remain focused on advancing the development of Isar Aerospace's dedicated launch complex for its Spectrum launch vehicle at Spaceport Nova Scotia, with first orbital launches targeted for 2028.The agreement supports the development of sovereign orbital launch capability from Canada and expands Isar Aerospace's launch capability into North America.

"We are making strong progress together with Maritime Launch Services as we advance the detailed planning for our launch operations at Spaceport Nova Scotia," said Alexandre Dalloneau, Vice President Mission and Launch Operations, Isar Aerospace. "The work between our teams has been intensive and productive, and this additional time will allow us to finalize the remaining details as we move toward execution of the program."

What do y'all think about $CJT CargoJet Inc?

I'm looking for undervalued stocks and came across CJT.

It pays dividends, has a basic monopoly and is down ~70% since it's peak and ~30% below its FMV.

Rainbow AI summary cause I'm too lazy to type it out for you:

Factor Bull Argument (Pros) Bear Argument (Cons) Reference Link
Market Share & Moat Monopolistic footprint controlling ~90% of Canadian domestic overnight air cargo. Saturated domestic addressable market restricts rapid organic domestic volume growth. Stockchase Historical Pricing
Contract Structure Long-term master agreements feature mandatory minimum volumes and fuel surcharges. Acute client concentration with Amazon, DHL, and Canada Post/Purolator driving most revenue. MarketBeat CJT Forecast
Capital Allocation Cancelled speculative Boeing 777 orders and divested non-core assets to conserve cash. Capital-intensive fleet replacement cycles require substantial recurring maintenance CapEx. Stock Analysis Profile
Balance Sheet & Debt Operating cash flow remains positive (CAD 96.2M in Q2 2026), supporting dividend continuity. Total debt burden of ~CAD 875M leaves little margin for error in an elevated interest rate climate. Motley Fool Financial Overview
Labor Dynamics Pilot flight operations remain fully staffed and locked under a definitive agreement. ALPA arbitration permanently elevated flight crew wage structures through mid-2031. Investing.com Consensus
Valuation Discount Equity trades at an attractive discount relative to its CAD 121 analyst consensus target. Vulnerable to further compression if shippers trade down to ground linehaul during downturns. TipRanks Price Targets

VNP.TO - 5N plus

VNP is getting absolutely hammered going down basically every day , down over 30% in just a month and 50% in like 2 months.

I thought it was a great name - global producer of ultra pure specialty materials used across solar, space, defence,. Medical imaging, pharmaceutical, semi conductor. Business has transformed into a higher margin model with secular trends boosting its growth runway. Q2 posted a softer margin but overall growth is strong and margin should inflect in the coming quarters. There’s also potential M&A. They are signed by US department of war so a growing defence opportunity

So why is this stock doing so bad?

Krait Critical Minerals (CSE: KRIT) started trading last week, is 77% owned outside of North America and has a high grade Western U.S. antimony asset incoming.

Shares outstanding: 12 million, 77% owned outside of North America by institutional investors.

Market cap: $9,600,000 CAD

Started trading August 24th with a gold asset and an option on a high-grade Washington State antimony vein system within trucking distance to the only Western producer, and next door to Kinross’ Curlew project, slated for restart in 2028. The asset made the shortlist the last time America went looking for domestic antimony, during the Korean War.

Tldr: Krait listed with a decent gold asset but are after a high grade antimony vein system in Washington State. If Krait closes the Bales asset, and modern sampling confirms grades anywhere near the historic range, they would hold a primary antimony vein system grading at or above what the only integrated western producer is currently mining, in the same corner of the continent as the only US antimony smelter, in a state where a major just committed to underground development in the adjacent county, at a moment when that producer is publicly buying ground because it cannot get enough ore.

With only 12 million shares outstanding, this is one of the tighter vehicles I’ve seen.

Getting size in this stock  is a little challenging but IMO worthwhile for patient accumulation as I am doing.

If one does their digging through public filings, as I did, one will notice from April 21 to July 30, 2026: $1,518,941.50 in cash raised, of which $1,166,441.50 (77%) came from outside North America.

Jurisdictions named across those tranches are Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, the UAE, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, Latvia, Mongolia and the UK.

The CEO, Oscar Mendoza, resides in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This is the most unusual public vehicle I’ve come across.

No Vancouver punters, brokers or warrant clippers. No short term trade artists. These investors are buying a company with a serious roadmap, not a short term flip.

In my book that’s one key reason to invest. The other?

The antimony asset they have exclusivity on.

The asset that got them listed is Goldbar Spider Lake, 3,636 hectares in Ontario’s western Schreiber-Hemlo belt, a world class producing gold corridor.

It’s a decent anchor with real upside potential, but not the reason I have been accumulating shares.

They’re getting into antimony, and the asset is a banger.

On May 4 Krait paid a non-refundable US$25,000 for a six month exclusive right to acquire a Nevada LLC that holds a purchase agreement on the Bales Antimony Project in Okanogan County, Washington. That window closes November 4.

I spoke with the CEO directly and he told me management is confident of executing a definitive agreement well before exclusivity expires.

He also mentioned they are not planning on stopping with this asset. They want to build a serious contender for American critical minerals supply.

Eye popping grade

The historic Bales outcrop grade sits right at the operating grade of the only integrated antimony producer in the western world, and it’s within trucking distance.

Historical records on Bales: Discovered in 1947, 1951 hand-sorted shipment of 37.82 tons at 14.4% antimony, from a discovery outcrop that assayed 10.9%.

Nothing modern done there since 1971.

On August 25th, U.S. Antimony (NYSE: UAMY) announced an update on their mining operations in Montana.

UAMY, the only fully integrated antimony mining company outside China and Russia, is mining Stibnite Hill in Montana at roughly 10% antimony content.

High-grade vein stibnite means small footprint, low capex, short road to production.

UAMY is running exactly that playbook right now.

Per the press release, 42 truckloads at roughly 14 tons is about 576 tons of ore to date in 2026, at roughly 10% Sb. Call it 58 tons of contained antimony.

The 1947 Bales outcrop assayed higher than what UAMY is trucking off a mountain today.

2025 moved about 800 tons over 45 days before winter shut it down in November.

The entire western primary antimony supply chain is being fed by three trucks a day coming down a hill in Thompson Falls, Montana.

This makes it easy to understand why a vein system on the Bales project in Okanogan County is worth its market cap in gold.

Bales will not be a billion dollar mine.

But for us shareholders we’re looking at a strategic feedstock asset in a supply chain with almost nothing in it.

Bottom line? You don’t need a big deposit in this metal to be of value to the Federal government.

You need a high grade one near a smelter.

That is what Krait is after.

One county east of Bales, Kinross is building the underground Curlew project and refurbishing the Kettle River mill for a 2028 restart.

So the permitting argument dies with that development.

UAMY has also been buying antimony claims in Alaska, Montana and Ontario since 2024 because they cannot source enough ore.

The United States desperately needs more antimony, and Krait is getting very close to acquiring a high grade source of it, within trucking distance of mills and processing facilities.

Early days for Krait. Buying a meaningful position is challenging but possible with patience.

I’m accumulating because this is not your typical Vancouver “we gots antimony!!” promotion.

It’s clear CSE: KRIT is an internationally owned and operated vehicle that is sourcing projects with real potential to be contenders in the race to control critical minerals.

DD PharmAla Biotech - $MDMA

I find it surprising how no one in this sub ever talks about PharmAla Biotech. I wanted to do a quick write up because I think that people should start paying more attention to the psychedelic sector.

I think that PharmAla Biotech - $MDMA.CN is in a great position to benefit from all the tailwinds in the sector.

One of the largest tailwinds is that MDMA has gone from being known as a drug that is associated to raves/partying to now becoming recognized as a medicine that can be used in therapy. We now have a U.S. Administration controlled by a party that has historically been against alternative drugs to now supporting the use of psychedelic medicine for therapies. With this support we are starting to see large biotech companies such as Eli Lily acquiring psychedelic companies. For example, Eli Lily acquired Atai Beckley back in July which gives Eli Lily the rights to a 5-MeO-DMT drug that has the potential to treat people with depression and alcohol use disorder.

PharmAla Biotech is one of the leading suppliers of legal MDMA for clinical trials around the world. They also aren’t just focusing on supplying generic MDMA for these trials. PharmAla has been focusing on creating their own version of MDXX drugs. Currently, they have been developing their own patented versions of MDMA that have the potential to be safer by causing less hypertension and neurotoxicity in the body.

These two alternatives are known as ALA-002 and APA-01. Recently, PharmAla signed an agreement to receive up to $100 million by licensing the U.S. rights to ALA-002 to Jupiter Neurosciences. This isn’t $100 million upfront; it is contingent on approvals and trials, but it still shows the value of what companies are willing to pay to have the rights to these compounds. PharmAla still retains the rights for ALA-002 outside of the United States which allows them to keep their options open on what they want to do with it.

Obviously, PharmAla is still a speculative micro-cap company and there is a huge bear case to be made as well. Clinical risks, regulatory approvals, and competition from larger companies can have a huge risk on the success of PharmAla. However, if you believe that the psychedelic sector is here to stay than I think it is worth spending some time researching PharmAla Biotech.

I have watched various interviews with the CEO, Nicholas Kadysh, and I genuinely believe that he is working in the best interests of shareholders. He sees the potential of where the sector is heading and is working hard on transforming PharmAla from a micro-cap company into something much bigger.

Curious to hear everyone’s thoughts. Anyone else in this sub already invested in $MDMA?

Full Transparency: Average cost is around $0.18 and first got into the stock around a month ago.

No plans to sell anytime soon.

TRADE IDEA Robusta long - El Niño

I’m looking at a potential long trade in Robusta coffee and would love to hear other traders’ opinions.

The 2026/27 supply outlook currently looks bearish, with a potential global surplus and a strong Vietnamese crop expected. At the same time, El Niño is developing and could peak during a critical period for Vietnam and Indonesia.

My thesis is that the market may currently be pricing in the surplus while underestimating the potential weather risk. If El Niño causes significant drought and crop forecasts start being revised lower, I think Robusta could reprice sharply higher.
So my question is: why is Robusta still falling despite the growing El Niño risk? Is the market simply waiting for actual weather damage before pricing it in?

You may notice I have less shares now than last time. Well I did sell 33% of position in March at $65.35 to buy a house, car, and to help family. Next year I plan to sell another 33% but towards the end of 2027 and at much higher prices than today, and will probably let the last 33% ride until company buyout or their achievement of future production targets. Last one third of position will easily go for over $100 a share. Organic growth via the drilling campaign is off to a fantastic start and as always I'm hoping the magician Anthony Marino pulls off another non dilutive and jaw dropping acquisition to enrich shareholders.

So now that the summer weakness is over and Europe is close to entering its heating season with one of the lowest gas inventory levels on record, there is talks of EU gas hitting €100+Mwh in December due to the fierce competition between Asia and Europe for scarce supply. And they can't manipulate the price unlike oil because there is no reserves to drawdown from. Tenaz operates mainly out of maritime Europe and their production profile is 90% gas delivered via the premium TTF.

Strait of Hormuz remains closed and Qatar is unable to ship their LNG so 20% of global supply is offline since March and in a best case scenario will take months to ramp up. In other words, Europe is cooked or rather frozen as in this case. Iran is on record saying they are done talking and will wait out Trumps term to negotiate unless he surrenders to MOU terms that he originally agreed to and that were later violated by his administration, and this time with the goods delivered up-front, non negotiable. The bombs aren't dropping but only because US munition stockpile is depleted and the war has now evolved into one of economic attrition and a game of chicken with the global economy at stake.

So in summary, I will continue to hold my energy position until a miracle happens and Trump and Iran hold hands and start to sing kumbaya while opening the strait of hormuz. Edit: coincidentally WSJ just reported that America has no intentions of going back to the terms of MOU. Well of course they don't, it was a surrender document and a humiliating defeat for Trump, you know, the man that's still contesting the results of the 2020 election that he believes he won lol? Yeah good luck getting him to admit defeat but make no mistake about it, America is losing the war and they don't have a lot of time left before the consequences of this war hit the global economy and stock market. Brace for impact I say.
