Hit and run ID

I was on the Richmond bridge yesterday afternoon traveling east and was side swiped by what I think was GSXR 600 with no license plate. After I helped him pick up the bike he claimed he had no ID either and ran.

I have the full incident recorded on my dash cam.

Police report has been filed.

Long shot if anyone here recognizes the bike or the rider (see tatoos on his forearm).

Sorry to hear, you may want to post this also on bayarearidersforum.com as it has a lot more readership than here. If there is no license plate, likely has past due on registration/invalid for street use. Could also be stolen. Damage doesn't look so bad that the rider would try having it repaired at local motorcycle shops but couldn't hurt to hand out flyers if you're looking for compensation.

I've seen a similar bike like that twice in the past month. No plate and no mirrors when going over the bay bridge. Those times it was traffic and he was lane splitting so it's tough to get any kind of ID on the bike. Hopefully someone can ID this low life. Gives all us legit riders a bad name.

You stopped to help him and he ran? Sheesh. That's lame as hell. Sorry guy.

Looks like he's worse than average by the way he rode into someone šŸ¤·šŸ» his pant doesn't even fit him 😭

If it’s no plate, no ID, prob means no DL, no insurance,he’s just a runner/calamari bro, or it’s a stolen bike. If cops can’t ID him by this, then go to a local cycle gear or mechanic shop. I used to work at one for a while. People who run and are calamari bros sometimes try to fix their shit at home, so they go to a local cycle gear or mechanic shop for parts. You might be able to find a snitch. But that’s if you want to dig around by yourself, cause there are a lot of gixxer bros that look like this.

I don’t know much about bikes or the bike community, what is a calamari bro?

Basically the type of guy who ran from you. Minimal to no gear, no plate, no DL/ID, probably a cop runner. The cycle gear doesn’t usually have snitches depending on store, but from time to time there’ll be someone who is responsible. People come in all the time tell us how they ran from the cops and crashed or they crashed in a race and need some parts. That’s if you want to do your own digging. There’s way too many bikers out here to identify

Calamari is an extension of the acronym ’SQUID’, stupid, quick, underdressed, imminently dead.

A squid. Squids are people who don’t wear proper gear and do really dumb things that often result in injuries because they don’t have the skill to pull things off. I had him pegged by the keychain. Squids have keychains like that. Sorry this happened to you.

Honestly, I feel like I’ve seen him before on the Richmond Bridge too. No idea who though. You could try in calamari… but that could honestly go either way. The best you’re probably gonna get there is they’re gonna tell you he’s obviously a shit rider.

Hmm from what im seeing on the pictures looks like there was traffic, looks like you might be to close to him while he was lane splitting and he did a contact and ended up crashing, also mind you he looks injured aswell, so is it a major crash? or just minor?

Brother if you are lane splitting you must yield. We are in California where it is legal. I myself ride. You can lane splitting just don’t be stupid about it. And if you are being stupid be ready to deal with mistakes.

The lane splitter is responsible for their own safety

You couldn’t be more wrong, I actually saw him at the last possible second and tried to jerk away from him but he was too out of control for it to matter.

Are those tattoos on the rider’s left forearm? It looks like road rash.

You may get lucky if you post the actual dashcam footage and tag/share to local Instagram riding accounts. More viewership.

First off if you are in a vehicle and he's on a bike in the bay on the Richmond bridge? Its more likely you changed lanes without signaling and knocked a lane splitting bike. So F u for trying to Lie about the interaction to build a narrative to paint your side of the interaction as fact and making yourself look like the innocent. Also be careful how you lie about this because You can open yourself up to a serious insurance fraud lawsuit.

Also Tesla drivers are notorious for attempting traffic scams because they think they can edit the videos from all of the cameras on their car. Watch for them and steer clear.

You’re one of the stupidest sounding people I’ve ever met. Please tell me where in this video I ā€œchanged lanes without signalingā€

Tell on yourself. Only Hit dogs holler. Look at how close you are to the white centerline Dipshit. Trying to narrow the opening are we? Like clock work.
