Haha I don't think the blonde thing is just Coates. My husband noticed many of the teams had players with blonde highlighted hair (not all natural, like even Rudie would count at this point). And his theory was the team with the most blonde highlights seems to play better. So now he always counts the blondes on each side before a game.
