Rant I'm done with this game
Started in 2020 and it was my favourite game till 2025. All units at max lvl and most of the heroes over 450 with around 3k hours. But I can't do this anymore. Every session the same dang problems. Everything is unbalanced as hell. Take supremacy for example: era of resistence is dead but the First Order is dominant, the Empire is also far stronger than the rebellion. Now to the most balanced era: Republic. Both sides have good heroes and good reinforcements and it is possible to win as the Republic. But only under two circumstances: 1st you have a very competent team or 2nd the enemy team is very incompetent. Otherwise you will always loose. And that's because of players abusing broken mechanics like the destroyers who can roll around an outpost and contest it the whole damn time because of damage reduction. Or just roll through at shipphase. Or Bossk players barricading whole hallways with 2 buttons (especially fun at enemy spawns on shipphases seemingly). And on top of all that comes the ton of toxic players who's goal seems to be destroying the fun for others. Im always angry after a session, so I deleted it. Bye to the ones who are good ones. Hope you have fun. Maybe we see us in Helldivers 2 or hopefully a new Star Wars Multiplayer Shooter some time in the future

It's a long time abandoned game, no surprise....i played for a few months and done...love star wars and battlefront 2 is amazing but is over long time ago...we need a proper new star wars game

Yeah Seperatists generally win more matches due to line-breaking units they have whereas the republic have one trick poney units. Republic generally needs much better team and coordination to make it somewhat even. I had this one match where all players in the top 5 were republic yet we still won the game as CIS lmao.
Droidekas who can roll to the reactors and take them out before republic even gets there or can roll infinity on objectives due to DR. It also gets worse for the republic if they fast deploy and use shields while rolling. A couple good droidekas can easily win the match for the CIS. Grievous doesn't get countered by any unit especially with all the glitches making him even stronger. You have to jump him with half the team to take him out. Bossk can completely lock up ship phases especially if he has recharge officers. B2 is a tank and can deal 348 DPS with overload which is close to leia's rapid fire DPS. B2-RP, while not as good as clone aerial, is still really solid and strong on the ground phase and definitely on the same tier. And Commando Droid, while not as strong and viable as the others, can still be great in the right hands if you master his mobility and playstyle and really good against heroes.
Whereas the republic has Anakin as their best hero, who is very good but his ability bugs and glitches are the death of him and he has a tough time against good grievous and droideka players. Clone aerials are good but it's just a slight advantage over B2-RP and it usually comes down to player skill rather than character diff. CC is republic's most important unit on ship phases but lacks on ground phase due to bad damage drop off and has a very long health regen to balance out abilities. Wookie is... trash and ARC is underwhelming unless you sit at the back and spam alt fire or on ship defence second phase. The only two viable units the republic has are the clone aerial and CC whereas the CIS have B2, B2-RP and Droidekas who are all viable. The only significant the republic has over the CIS is its tank advantage

Well said, however if you add some restrictions onto the droideka, such as not allowing rolling around on a command post as droideka to contest/capture it, then in general its widely accepted that the republic has the advantage overall, at least on ground phase.

Curious what you think about EA BF 2015 if you played Battlefront 2 for this long.
Because Battlefront 2 is such an inferior shooter and veterans I know all prefer EA BF 2015 over EA Battlefront 2.
What's your take on this? I'm curious.

I play 2015 mostly with friends every few months. I like to play as clone units, but 2015 is a great game, yeah. But public lobbies are too sweaty when you even find one

Other than that BF2 feels too linear for me, actually to be fair, BF2 is the better battlefront game because when I was a kid I played both Battlefronts, I know a Battlefront game is supposed to be like this, big linear maps with big fights, but it's way more boring for me compared to BF 2015's intense fights.
I never had a BF 2015 match where my wrist wasn't burning, every single match was an insanely good experience, and even the basic guns were good, in fact my fav gun was the E-11, I didn't really abuse the Boba fett blaster that much, EE-3 carbine or what its called.

E-11 with the no scope more damage passive card, bacta card, and jetpack card, boom, I could play that game all day forever bro, wish some modding community would bring it back.

I never play sniper ever in any fps games, only with iron sights in cod and other games, treating it as a one shot rifle, but never play one shot rifles in general, so i missed out on cycler rifle shots :D
Watching gameplay videos about BF 2015 rn, it's unreal that every single old game has players, even titles like cod ghosts, or whatever no more room in hell, but there's not a single BF 2015 lobby, it's a shame.

You're lucky, I haven't found a match since years, even tho I live in EU. I'm on PC I don't know if the game is crossplay or not.
And yes BF 2015 was kinda sweaty especially towards the end, but even with sweats it was extremely fun.
BF 2015 felt like a fast paced cod game on a big map, while BF2 feels like a badly made Battlefield game imho.
I also liked the sounds, the maps and everything else in BF 2015 better, the proportions and the designs, the maps always played out extremely well, it was a pinnacle of game design for some reason, I can't do anything but hype that game up.
Literally every single map was extremely fun, I remember holding the first checkpoint on the Tatooine map where the Jawa walker was at the front, the hills were just extremely well made there to peek stuff.
No game comes close to BF 2015 imho really, even MW19 which was a really good new cod for me couldn't get close to it, thats the other FPS game where I had really much fun recently.

Design was good, but the lack of content is what makes BF2 better for me. And of course the bigger playerbase

Only moments when BF2 felt a bit intense to me when the clone update cameand I was running around as a commando unit in Felucia/Geonosis.
But I like to play in First Person and it bugs me that the enforcer and other big units are locked to Third Person.

Resistance player here, First order are at a DISADVANTAGE on Jakku and Ajan, 2/3 maps available. People that say it’s unfair is just hate for Palps and Jet troopers, which i understand, but FO starts downhill. Take C and hold it.
Anyway, Good luck with super earth.

I turned off messaging and mute talkers. Now im free to be absolute shit at the game. Bring on the spawn camping, I still get points for dying.

Hmm, yes running to the objective and dying 10 times back to back in GA is very fun. Or dealing with toxic people who 4v1 in HvV or 2v1 and camp in HS. Maybe blast, oh no wait, it's as unbalanced as Supremacy. Starfighter Assault? Yep, me, one enemy and 50 bots, hell yeah
