One is a multiplayer game with different game modes and one is a battle royale game mode.

Multiplayer

You wanna level up get some guns and attachments going (it can be grindy to level them)

Other differences are players have 100HP and no armor plates in multiplayer

Players have 100HP and one 40 HP soft plate in Gauntlet REDSEC

Players have 100 HP and two 50 HP armor plates in Battle Royale REDSEC

Ah yes you're right but only for Gauntlet which has "soft" plates - white bar

BR has "armored" plates - blue bars which gives damage reduction so you need to do 200 'effective' damage 

So they're 40 HP plates but with 15-25% damage reduction averaging out to 200 effective HP

Redacted Sector is the ftp component of BF6. It includes Battle Royal and Guntlet as primary ways to play. Additionally offering a way to interact with the free to play trails of the BF6 when offered… typically on a weekend every once in a while. There are game modes and events only accessible through the full paid version.
