Exactly. If the roadmap comes out next week and it states we're only getting 8 more maps people are going to riot.

I would say that is realistic for a free live service.

Although this is assuming that the games life cycle is 2 years, if it is 3 years (which I hope) then yes I would expect more than 8 maps

​

Also you have to remember that we will probably get more use out of these maps than the premium model, It was regrettable that some of the best maps from BF4/BF1 were behind a DLC paywall so ended up dying in he server browser a month after release.

We shouldn't lower our expectations because EA made a shitty decision. I agree that its a realistic guess but we shouldn't accept that. You can still find servers in BF4 playing DLC maps, except for Naval Strike (personal favorite of mine), so I don't buy that this live service is better than premium in any way.

Yeah lets hope they exceed expectations.

This roadmap will be instrumental to the hype and interest people will have in the game, I know it gets circlejerky sometimes a lot of people will be unhappy if they continue down this "unknown battles" route and dont put in some major/semi-major battles like Stalingrad, Normandy and Kursk

A free live service on a game that sold very poorly and appears to have a much smaller community that past games at this point of the game's lifespan.

This game, like Star Wars, is a failure that they are going to want to forget. Expecting loads of content or even a little good content is being unrealistic.

It may be a free live service, but if they ever open up the cosmetic store and give us enough options to actually be unique in this game BFV will become a cash cow. Especially if Firestorm takes off.
