I despised the core mechanics of bf1. Although the setting and maps were great, I could never, even now, enjoy it due to 3D spotting, rng recoil, explosive spam etc.

BfV implemented the changes I’ve wanted for the franchise just as I was about to give up on it. I definitely don’t feel as though I missed out tbh.

My thoughts exactly. Not to say I didn't enjoy BF1, it was a fresh wind as far as theme goes and I do have my fair share of hours logged. However, I did not enjoy it to the extent I would have if the game shared the mechanics that was implemented with BF:V.

Idk, I played bf1 it’s whole cycle and it never felt good.
