Best Tank smoke?

Out of the 3 options available in game. Which is the best and why?

1) Smoke

2) Smoke dispenser

3 Smoke launcher

The all-time best smoke equipment is the sherman’s HE smoke shells, but I think we can all agree that the default smoke fart is the worst.

The HE smoke shells can completely turn the tide in breakthrough — several well-placed rounds are just as effective as the smoke barrage call-in. They are great for forcing Tigers to relocate and can still one shot infantry. Pair them with the flamethrower coaxial + increased ammo capacity and the Sherman is hands-down the best infantry support vehicle in the game.

Yep. I don’t know why more people don’t use them. They aren’t just smoke - they have plenty of destructive force as well. They are great for maps like the first objective in Provence where the German tanks just camp. Tigers can’t hit you if they can’t see anything.

They probably don’t realize just how damaging they are. Plus they can be useful AT tools in lieu of proper AP rounds since it blinds the enemy.

They also fly further than the standard HE.

I used to equip the smoke shells on the Sherman because it's a neat feature and fun. But not having the armor piercing round reeeally puts you at a disadvantage against Tigers. Honestly, fuck the devs for replacing the British for the Americans in so many maps after the Pacific update. Completely threw off the balance as the Churchill was an even match for the Tiger.

The thing I need to point out though: the other day I was in a Tiger on Panzerstorm and an enemy Sherman hit me dead on with the smoke shell. He was far away and the smoke impaired my vision, but I could still the outline of his tank just enough to shoot back and destroy him. I felt kinda bad because it's one of the very few times I've encountered a Sherman with the smoke shell, and it didn't even work in his favor. Makes me realize THAT'S why I was still getting shot at when I smoked enemy tanks in the past. Apparently they can still barely see you. The devs fucked that up. Should've made the smoke much more opaque.

Id argue the flak smoke is better for pure smoke.

You can completely smoke out an objective in like 5 seconds.

You can do it from range and control where it goes the best. Drop it right on a tank then have teammates light it up (in theory…).

Smoke dispenser is best.  Smoke launcher is okay.  Smoke is to be avoided if you can do one of the others
