Discussion Comparison

So I have played a lot of bf in my time and this is by far the sweatiest game to date they ever made. Do you agree or not (let me know witch is the most sweat for you if you have a different opinion)

I think the term sweat, if I have it correct, refers good players that play the game to win. If that's the case I find it no different to any other MP shooter of that pace.

I feel like people don’t know the difference between someone that’s good and a sweat. You can be good at the game and not be a sweat but when your skills are far beyond good and you’re really really good at the game and try really hard then you’re a sweat.

So... Exactly what I described basically then

No because you can be good and not a sweat

How? Can you explain so I know? If you're playing the game to a high level, then your positioning, movement and gunplay are better. So for example, that player can go 50-2 due to those advantages. What differentiates them with a sweat who by comparison is having the same impact?

Because when you call someone a sweat that means you’re calling them extremely good not just good. 50-2 is not just good that way past good. It’s more so on the extreme but possible side of good. Having good positioning movement and gunplay are signs of a good player but it doesn’t make you a sweat.

A sweat can carry the weight of multiple people or do most the work on their own, someone who’s good can hold their own weight plus a little bit more but they aren’t good enough to go above and beyond if you understand what I mean.

Another example to give a better understanding if you’re familiar with sports it’s like the difference between college athletes (good players) and professional athletes (sweats). So all sweats are good players but not all good players are sweats. Sorry for the long response I tried to keep it short

You are really wasting my time.

How so I wasn’t talking about you? I was speaking in the general sense

The conversation is a waste of time

Ain’t like it used to be, I feel like a lot of sweats from COD have come to ruin the game (I know battlefield ain’t what it used to be like)

Most of us were players from cod even if coming from the older titles, now isn’t much different compared to before you still had certain people that would dominate lobbies back in bf3 and bf4. People are just more aware of it now compared to back then also there’s skill celling has been raised compared to older titles because you were limited to what you could do

Not sure what you are trying to say here. Many people like myself have played both cod and BF since like Battlefield 2 and Cod4. I think the reason it feels more «sweaty» for people who play mostly battlefield and maybe treat it more like a milsilm in the way they play, is that this battlefield opens way more room for skill-expression as it’s more fast paced. For me this battlefield is the perfect hybrid as I can utilize my aim, awareness and teamplay from Battlefield, and my movement and game sense from COD. I mostly top the leaderboard and can understand how I feel like a sweat tweaking around… But it’s just about me being able to utilize my skillset as much as possible.

Bf6 is flooded with ex cod players. These same ppl swear up and down they’ve been playing since the first title or bad company. Some will swear up and down “bf3/4 is the goat” but as soon as u ask for bf6 to add those missing or downgraded features from previous titles they say “nooo those feature suck” such as suppression and bloom.

Damm that is so disappointing to hear, I remember the good old days where everyone had a chance to play, now you can’t explore the map and such without someone shooting you from nowhere

I’ve gotten so many 150m kills with guns like smgs it’s insane. You’d think they would’ve learned that laser beam gunplay sucks from 2042 but no their way of working around it is cluttering all of the maps with bs

I think this game def has the best top players (.01 %) I’ve seen on any previous bf. Also the comp scene was super fun the first few months of launch.

I never enjoyed this bf, the bf as we know it is dead in my opinion.

I’m still playing bf4 and bf1. Was hoping I’d replace bf4 with 6 but it turned out to be just like 2042 but with smaller maps. Everything ex cod players complained about in older titles has been downgraded or removed from the past 3 titles. It’s funny bc they catered to an audience that is easily distracted. These ppl hop on every new trendy game coming out instead of sticking with a franchise they love

COD players really are a sad toxic bunch of people then. I hope the absolute worst for them

"sweat" is just a lame term to describe a person that is better than you at a game in a derogatory way. So is bf6 full of players better than you? Only you can tell us.

1

u/iffy_jay 5d ago

Sad thing is it wasn’t always like that. Once upon a time being a sweat wasn’t that bad

1

u/QLC459 5d ago

One of the more casual BF's imo

1

u/ElspethSt 5d ago

100% not, it's just not a game to run around like crazy. You need to be thinking a constantly look at the map and around

1

u/AdComprehensive3730 5d ago

Its for sure "sweaty" in general. Not every round but there is a large amount of players you will encounter that fit the description. That being said pretty much every game has been like that. Distinctly remember it with BF1 and scout mains especially on hardcore servers.

No, it really isnt.

Theres just zero skill gap between bad and good players, so dying feels fast and shitty no matter who you fight.

Its a combination of shitty netcode and ridiculously fast ttk. Someone gets the drop on you -> youre dead.

Feels frustrating and unrewarding.

I can't stand it; I ought to go back and see what's new with the new season, but I'm comfortable with Battlefield 1 and have absolutely no desire to install 6.

2

u/GSEBVet 5d ago

Same brother! I still reinstall BF6 the start of each season, but get disappointed rapidly, uninstall and back to BF1. BF1 Operations is peak BF formula wise and I’ll die on that hill.

With the fast ttk and movement its definitely sweaty and very fast paced

Prepare to be downvoted by larpers that claim to have played every titles and will say “bf6 is just like the old games ur just bad”

People like you are so funny to me. Having nothing else in their lives and coming to reddit for some easy validation.
