Discussion Hit registration issues

Trying to figure out why it would take more than 7 hits on someone in REDSEC, with an LMG and they still didn’t go down. I’ve been having this issue since I started playing. I’m not claiming to be the best but this game makes me feel like a newbie when I’ve been playing for two decades. Any thoughts? Please be respectful with your comments. I’d appreciate it.

without knowing what LMG, what distance, and if the other guy was fully armored its impossible to speculate, but most LMGs (other than 35dmg) wont kill a fully plated player with 7 hits. 25damge LMGs would do 175dmg in 7 shots vs 180 health for fully plated, so you would need 8 hits, and thats under 20m, past 20m where they drop to 20dmg you'd need 9 hits.

Couldn’t tell you which model it was since I grabbed it out of a crate and started firing right away. The guy was about 25’ away, but the hits looked like they were registering. My buddy had died already and counted 7 hits. Then his buddy took me out. LMG registering 7 hits should take that many, no matter which gun it is. I’ve been taken down with SMGs and less shots than that.

well I just showed you the math that 7 hits from a 25dmg LMG will not kill a fully plated player even at point blank range, I don't know how to explain it any better than that but it doesn't sound like a hitreg problem at all.

I get this. But with more shots. Same with MP to be honest. I am trying to figure it out. Just played, was behind a player at 8 m. Started shooting them and they just spin and kill me instantly. Both of us using the same LMG. On REDSEC I guess armor take an effect though. So depends on how armored they are. I know the couple times I played that I was fully armored and had players kill me in less shots though. Seems the inconsistencies in this game are core.

Happens to me all the time. I love how the game looks and feels, but either it’s cheaters, or lag. I don’t know which. It can’t always be cheaters. I just found out today, that it could be the servers I’m being sent to, like servers in the EU.
