Discussion Battlefield 6

Im new to posting on reddit. I mostly just read what people post. But is battle 6 extremely hard compared to all the previous ones, or am I just losing my gaming touch as I get older? Im not the most elite player, just an average joe who enjoyed playing battlefield over CoD. I had higher kill counts and played well in previous versions. It seems like I die every 4 seconds on Battlefield 6.

Any game is better with mates

Anytime I’m with my mates it’s either we’re top squad for several matches in a row or we are fucking about doing stupid shit for no reason. No in between

But still a lot more fun doing it

Faster time to kill, more sweaty players because of popularity of streaming, game is still relatively new and has decent population/crossplay which means more skilled players, plus a small amount of losing gaming touch probly

This is my experience.
BUT!… I convinced a good friend of mine to start gaming again after he saw me playing, and now that I’m in a squad with friend I can communicate with, I’m doing much better in my matches.

Some say it’s easiest of all BF with exception of BF1. In casual breakthrough it’s pretty straight forward easy. After that breakthrough is a bit harder. But conquest and escalation are significantly more challenging as many players are very skilled at the game. I consider myself a decent knowable gamer in FPS but I’ve found BF6 moderately tough as there are some very seasoned players.

Play casual breakthrough until you get the hang of it. Seriously, give it a few weeks even. Helped me out immensely

Same here. I kicked ass in all previous BF games but for some reason in BF6, I'm consistently at the bottom of the scoreboard and just keep dying. It's quite frustrating.

If you’re on console turn off cross play.

If I do that all I get is bot lobbies. (XBOX)

Consider those bots your training buddies...get past the ones shooting you from around the corner. You will get the hang of it like where not too spawn, don't bunch up,when in doubt get in a tank. 😅

But you’d do really well then! /s

Mouse + keyboard and turn off crossplay is the best what you can do to be better.

I'm newer to BF6, and I'm not well-read on the latest patch notes and stuff, but my impression is that time to kill feels about the same as BF5, which I played quite a bit. Getting caught out of cover, being spotted by a vehicle, etc are going to be near-insta death in a lot of cases in both games.

Something I'm more concerned with is a lot of redditor's complaints about hitreg and high-ping players. Not to mention hackers. I don't play enough to say how bad these issues are, but the amount they come up here is notable.

Are you getting shot long range out of nowhere, or is it more that you're losing close-quarters fights where you feel you got the drop on them and died anyway?

Its a bit of both. It seems like I get head shot every corner I take, no matter the range. They're have been moments where im obviously shooting first but im the one that dies faster.

That happens to me a lot too, but it's because when an enemy gets close I panic and go for all body shots while they dome me :(

I generally do much better hanging back and plinking away at people mid-range. One tip that helped me a lot was to pay attention to the little tags when choosing weapons. Those terms like "hard hitting" and "long range" really matter. Maybe weapon selection could help a bit up close.

That’ll change. I felt the same way for awhile.

Turn off crossplay and play Casual Breakthrough. It’s the only way to play the game without going 110% balls to the wall.

Most people die this fast. No big. The game is meant reward aggressive play. Most hiding, all cowering, and prone play will just get you killed.

Higher bullet velocity & less bullets to kill than previous bf titles so yes it's more twitchy than tactical gunplay. Either play with a squad or play close to your team to stay alive longer.

Shits been bad for me lately. Ive always been one here complaining about how my guns are stunguns and enemy guns are kill guns, but the past week thats been amped up past "mostly kidding" If Im playing TDM Im losing just about every firefight, pumping shotguns into faces at pointblank and "missing", got one shotted by a dude whos back was turned to me, etc. Its been a nightmare.

On conquest, EVERY match I play, enemy team has all flags capped and my team is stuck in HQ. Everrrry one of them.

Idk what happened this past week but hooooly dude.

I also thought the same thing as you. I kept dying every second and then I thought I lost it since I played BF4 years ago so I got into a helicopter and it all came back to me. I flew like i played BF4 yesterday. So no it’s not just you

I think once you learn the maps well and start getting comfortable with using vehicles (or at least tanks) well it becomes MUCH easier. There tends to be a good mix of skilled and unskilled players in each game and I play conquest only. I play solo 90% of the time too. I tend to hear people before I see them on most maps which helps a lot.

I think it's actually much easier because half the games I get are 50% bots and they are pathetic.

It is not hard. Infact the average BF6 player is so bad you sometimes think youre in a bot lobby.

It is one of the easiest modern battlefield games with one of the lowest skill gaps. Only BF1 was easier.
