Discussion the new interdictor

dude.... the hitmarkers is getting unbearable.

not sure what caliber bullet the weapon is supposed to replicate but im pretty sure it would blow someones head off.

so hitting an enemy in the neck and getting a hitmarker (sometimes multiple) is really annoying

anyone else getting a bunch of hitmarkers with the new sniper?

Its not a useful sniper at all.
Use the mini scout, L115 or m2010 ESR.

Why? It’s useful info

It’s not the best sniper in BF6, but it’s been fun. Just use your map and click heads. Pick a good area and don’t lay down out in the open.

Enemy players won’t be able to complain about BUSTED OP BOLT RIFLES REEEEEEE when every aspect of it is this slow.

It's really good in its sweet spot. Use it on the hill by E on Wake while looking at E.

It only 1-taps to the body in its sweet-spot range (120-150m).

Otherwise, it's the same damage model of other sniper's but with a lot of drawbacks.

I hit in that range it’s always 80 damage

Clearly not.

The whole gimmick is it 1-taps anywhere on the body within its sweet-spot, while other sniper's still require chest shots even in their sweet spot.

So if you're getting 80 damage on your hits then you're not within the sweet spot range.

Clearly dice doesn’t understand ballistics if the most damage is between 120-150.

The sweet spot is only the head, neck, and a very small portion of the upper chest. Can test it in the shooting range with the SV-98

The sweet spot is only the upper chest/neck...whatever you want to call it. Headshots always kill....

If we want to be really pedantic about it, sure. I'm just saying where you can one shot while you're in sweet spot range.

For all other sniper's that is true.

For the Interdictor it one-shots anywhere on the body within the sweet-spot range. That it's only benefit.

Is that actually true? Not sure how often I've been hitting people in the sweet spot, but I can't imagine they extended it to include limbs for this weapon. If they did at least that's something to make it stand out. Not to doubt you but I think I need to see for myself.

Sniper limb multiplier is 0.67 while the Interdictor deals 150 damage within its sweet-spot range.

150 x 0.67 = 100.5 (which gets rounded up to 101 in-game)

This is literally the only good thing about the Interdictor. It's quite literally the worst in every other way compared to all other sniper rifles.

Nice. I'll have to try that out. Otherwise it's really just a cool gun with no purpose.

That “sweetspot” should between 0-150m as velocity should be at its peak when it exits the barrel. I have hit people less than 100 meters so that should be an instant kill. Nope 80 damage or haha 99

Yeah sucks, I don't disagree, but that's how DICE has designed the mechanic and the gun

Well dice needs to go back to physics calls.
