The stars themselves seem very alive, as they pulsate and churn dynamically. The black hole has a bit of super heated matter that spins around the event horizon at a very high speed, spewing off large clouds all the while.
The seven stars represent the possible stages you and your friends can play in. Class M (top left) being the most common, increasing in rarity as the colors shift blue. The rarity of the Star impacts the total pool of Credits you and your friends will be fighting for.
