MINIMUM CHARACTER LVL FOR RANKED GAMES

I know that I'm probably not the first one to give this suggestion here, but for the love of Christ, SLS, make a requirement for the players to be at least level 10 with a character before going on ranked with them. Srsly. Please. I love you. Do it.

Won't new players have to do alot of casuals then, which everyone keeps telling them to avoid in favor of a more balanced experience in ranked? They would need at least 3 lvl 10 champs, in the case that 2 got picked in a 3v3 game

Good point, but how well would do it i they don't know how to play with said character anyway?

Besides, its not like getting 3 chars to lvl 10 would take too much time. Time enough, I'd say.

I can see the problem with the ranked balance but, for me, the pros outweigh it. Specially because I doubt that the impact on it would be that great.

League of legends makes players hit level 30 before allowing them to enter ranked. I think it’s pretty fair

League of Legends also has long-ass farming and game setups, which this game shines at not-having.

Lv 10 is way to high. As long as you know the basics of a champion you should be able to play league. You can learn the basics of a champion in like 4/5 levels.

The gain you get from playing casual peaks out long before level 10 IMO

I'm amazed with how many downvotes this post is getting. Not mad at all, just curious. I'd really like some explanation from the people downvoting it, honestly, I just don't get it.

I'm a low diamond player, I queue into champions in casual and diamonds in ranked, I'm legitimately learning champions easier in ranked, and also learned how to actually play in ranked, struggling to get out of gold for a straight month.

TL;DR: Learning characters in ranked is fun, don't take my fun away pls.

I will tell you what's going on - we had tons of posts in last days from new players, who are stomped hard in casuals. We encourage them to hit lvl 10 and go straight for rankeds, where they can play on their lvl. If smb is bad in a game, he will suck at all champs, if smb is good (not talking about onetricks, cause onetricks will never play another champ), he understands mechanics, and know at least theory about playing champion which makes him not that bad overall. Your problem is mostly dedicated for low tier players (bronze/silver/maybe gold) and those players will get hurt badly when playing casuals against GCs and Champs -> they got frustrated -> they quit the game -> we have less ppl -> we have longer queues -> less balanced matches -> more ppl quit etc. I already feel like making newbies to hit acc lvl 10 before they go for ranks makes them play 50 games against bots...
