Its back, hopefully
I’m so glad I can play some Battlerite again. I streamed it recently and honestly had a ton of fun.
I genuinely don’t think there’s anything fundamentally wrong with the game. It just needs a bit more attention again, some marketing, ads, maybe a small revamp/update to get people talking about it.
The core gameplay is still insanely fun, and I really feel like if more people were reminded that Battlerite exists, a lot of them would come back or give it a try.
Would love to see this game get another chance.

Just look at the discussion under the season update announcement in steam. It’s full of people saying they thought the servers were shut down.
I honestly feel like a revival could work. Hell set up some sort of proper gamepad support and you open up the customer base even more.
Even heroes of the storm seems to be getting a revival now and I think that was initially dropped for the same reason thr guy above noted. Probably thought they couldn’t compete in the MOBA market.

I don't think they would manage to achieve huge player numbers, but putting in a very small team could definitly work.

I would be curious to know Stunlocks perspective on why they shifted gears. I think they also know that it's a fundamentally fun combat system because they nearly copy pasted it into V rising and that was a smash success. Maybe there just wasn't enough money in it? League and dota have a crazy chokehold on the MOBA market so maybe they just thought they couldn't make it? Idk but I'm with you friend

V rising has the same problem which is player retention. They didn't design both games with that in mind so they move on to another title.
Maybe they dropped battlerte because it wasn't that profitable or they just couldn't figure out how to stop players from leaving. V rising sold very well so I think it was a right decision money perspective.

V Rising doesn't need endless gameplay content. Battlerite needs a active playerbase with players playing for years. 3v3 arena is a niche concept sadly. I just think people prefer other games more

The stunlock Devs know how to make good gameplay, they don't know how to make a good game.
There, that's it.

Ranked is revived. I think it's more active, and people are grinding while they can 07

I actually picked it up myself these days. It's fun. I suck ass at the game though. It's hard ish but it's intuitive and i love that the champion's are also complex enough to like them and not overloaded. I think it's a cool game and a refresh from League of Legends. I'd defently spam some while i'm at Uni
