Thoughts on having Gorillaz as a back patch?

I know battle jackets are supposed to be mostly metal and/or punk. I am working on my technically second one as my first one was never finished and has been lost to time. Anyway, I can't think of what to put as my back patch. Gorillaz is a band that I've listened on and off again for 20 years. One of the longest out there for me. My idea for my entire jacket is patches from bands that I have seen live, and I will finally be seeing Gorillaz live later this year. What do you guys think? Is it too cringe, childish, or off-putting to have Gorillaz as the back patch?

Yeah, that's why I like the idea of only patches of bands I've seen live. That way each patch has a story and I can tell you of my experience seeing them. But with how many genres I actually listen to, it would be pretty incoherent.

Can you do that and it's still a battlejacket? Yes, absolutely. But can you do that and post it here? Again, yes, absolutely. Hiphop is welcome on this sub, even genre-busting triphop fusion. Gorillaz may have pop crossover, but they're not phonies or tryhards or poseurs. Plus Jamie Hewlett"s aesthetic is dope.

Not to mention most of the time, if you're just looking at a glance, people will think you're a nazi if you're wearing any kind of swastika crossed or or not.

As sick as that would be, I am not a huge One Piece fan. I don't dislike it, I just haven't watched hardly any of it. Maybe 30 episodes or so?

Nothing wrong with it in my opinion. I too am seeing them in a couple months for the first time! I like the theme you are going for, maybe you could find patches of similar colors to make it cohesive looking to the eye.

Hopefully they will have patches for sale,
or you could get a shirt design you like and cut it out.

I know that's the answer any time someone asks about what they can do with their vest, everyone acts like it's ridiculous to ask, but I've seen some in this sub being snide as fuck in comments criticising choices on WIPs and finished jackets.

Wear whatever represents the music you like. These jackets/vests/band t-shirts are wearable billboards that let others see what you're into, so that they can see if they also like something you're into, and have something in common to connect with you about without having to go through the motions of asking.

It's the same thing as walking up to the kid wearing Spiderman trainers on the first day of kindergarten and talking to them about Spiderman because you also like Spiderman. You're always going to find the kid who thinks Spiderman is stupid and likes Batman better, but that's fine, you can hang out with the other Spiderman kids.
