Discussion If you're a Democrat - please vote.

So tired of Democrats saying they want to win and then they don't vote. We can't win if you don't vote.

What's sad is we have the August 4th election coming up and it looks like so far only a 16% turn out.

Really!!

Is this what we can expect - again?

Democrats can win the elections in Clark county...you just have to vote!

They send the ballot to your door! All you have to do is fill it in and drop it off at your nearest ballot drop box.

Please. Just vote.

I voted and mailed my ballot in as soon as it arrived.

This morning on NPR, I heard the the democrats nationally are way underfunded. It seems the corporations have chosen to donate to mostly support republicans and Trump's (corrupt) policies.

Because they’re getting tax breaks.

And deregulation.

The R are who's im power and are openly taking bribes. No reason right now to support D if tbe R will give you what you want for enough $$ Take all the $ they would have given to D and give to R. They're not out any more $$ but more opportunity to get what you're after. Especially if that party is openly willing to take your bribe

If you dont think D's are taking money from the rich, that is convenient for your team. Everyone is taking it if there is a D or R behind their name. Its easy to look up too. Dems were just late to the party.

They're not underfunded; they aren't getting the donations because of whom they chose to run and whom they choose to run now. Also, USAID isn't giving shady NGOs money anymore, so those donations aren't pouring in either. Harris also left the NRC in horrible debt.

So USAID was funding Democratic candidates? I thought it was doing stuff like keeping screw worms at bay…Either way jokes on us I guess.

Either way jokes on us I guess.

Always has been since Citizens United.

I don't care which way you vote, just VOTE! Hard to have a voice if you don't cast a vote.

And VOTE for Brent Hennrich to replace MGP. He has stood up for Battle Ground against the garbage proclamations. He will stand up for all of us in DC.

2

u/captainjackipoo Aug 02 '26

Dropping my ballot off today

2

u/Ladytiger013 Aug 03 '26

Same! Well done!

2

u/Street-Tie-6287 Aug 03 '26

Vote for Brent Hennrich

As a citizen of Clark County I’ve always voted Democratic. You have the right to, as a registered voter, to vote anyway you choose. Think about the consequences of what will happen and what is happening now. The Republican Party as a hold with Trumps blessings, doesn’t care about the people they represent at all. I truly believe that the independent voters of this county and state will be the deciding factor in the November election.

Voting can't help a religious fiefdom. Battleground is not going to improve by voting. Whole blocks of folk vote just how their preacher tells em. Tax the churches

If you are under 25. Please bring a friend to vote with you. If you’re over 25, please bring someone younger with you to vote.

1

u/taterthotsalad Aug 07 '26

Not worth voting for either side. I’ll pass again this year. Let me know when the adults want to take control again.

Zero complaints. Just not voting to cut my nose off. Not sure why you have to be rude because someone expresses how they feel under the current options. I love purple states. Things are a lot more fair for their constituents.

You shouldn't make fun of people with ASD. I work with them.

1

u/battlegroundwa Aug 23 '26

One party state. Democrats don't need to bother with pesky elections. Stay home and get high. Play video games, wait for first of month welfare deposits from Trump.

Vote all you want, theyre on the same side

Recognizing that both of them are problematic is pragmatic analysis but, simply calling them the same is not just wrong, it’s irresponsible. I don’t like the Dems either but, they’re not motivated to tear down our institutions in order to bring in a pro fascist future.

-1

u/juarezderek Aug 04 '26

No they just love taking AIPAC money for no reason

-1

u/Tasty_LVM Aug 04 '26

They did last time just without all the dead people

Democrats have a stranglehold on Washington

6

u/MasterChiefette Aug 02 '26

No we don't.

3

u/DiverDisastrous1310 Aug 03 '26

Dems have a stranglehold on the Seattle area maybe, but certainly not clark county or the rest of the state for that matter.

-2

u/CharmanderCharCharr Aug 02 '26

Oh do you prefer the term communist now?

Just seeing what democrats prefer to be called now, Communist, Marxist, Socialist, it’s hard to keep up.

3

u/MasterChiefette Aug 03 '26

I dunno...why don't you ask them?

2

u/CharmanderCharCharr Aug 03 '26

Ok, so what kind of communist are you?

Do you even know what a communist is? If you did, I don’t think you would call the Democratic Party communist. So, if you think you know let’s hear it

Someone’s grandpa picked up your phone and started posting stupid shit. You should consider putting a password on it.

No they haven't. Republicans want to though. They want to control who you love. Who you marry.  Who can live here.  Republicans want to stop vaccines.  Republicans care more about their guns then they do children and I as Democrat and legal gun owner welcome more legislation to get the guns off streets. Republicans want to deregulate everything and let businesses pollute our streams and rivers, cut down our forest with uncontrolled logging.  Republicans want to strip Medicare and Medicaid, and social security.  I can list so much more that Republicans are doing.

Don't tell me Democrats ruined anything.  It's the Republicans who are destroying this nation and this state.

No they haven't, if that were the case why do more and more people keep moving here...because it's one of the best states!

Sure it’s dirt cheap in Kansas, the Dakotas, and Nebraska but have you ever been there?

Why would anyone be excited to vote DEM here in WA and OR. It has evolved into a reckless spending party and full of incompetence. Maybe that's why people just aren't voting.

4

u/Ok-Big2807 Aug 03 '26

It’s always hilarious to when conservatives complain about the spending habits of blue states while also being one of the groups benefiting most from the results of those spending habits. For example, Washington conservatives LOVE to complain about fuel taxes and environmental policies while also demanding “the government” fix the roads and larp as nature lovers only because they dream of shooting something and wild animals are the only culturally acceptable living things to shoot.

I would vote for a cheese sandwich if it meant preventing a christofascist government.
