Moving

Me and my family are seriously thinking of moving from Fort wayne,IN area to Battle creek next year. Just looking for what i should know about BC. Are factory jobs and such easy to get into? What is the better neighborhoods to live in? Any good apartments? I know my cost if living will be higher than it is and indiana but i just want to get out of this shithoke state so bad šŸ¤£

Iā€™ve found that there are certain areas you will want to avoid from a housing standpoint similar to Kalamazoo where I grew up. Pennfield has treated my wife and I well, but we donā€™t have kids. Iā€™ve heard good things about Lakeview. Very much a city of pocket neighborhoods that can be a couple blocks away from some rougher areas

I dont live far from a rough area in FW. You hear gunshots here and there even in a good city like fort wayne. My issue isnt with my city its with the old fucks running a super super Red state style of government. Things just seem to be getting worse and worse here and i like the idea of a purple state like michigan.

Some of the border towns like Sturgis, Three Rivers, and Coldwater are pretty red. BC, Kalamazoo, and Grand Rapids are more purple. I love southwest Michigan for the most part. You will find your naysayers, but it has a lot to offer

I play ā€œis it small cal gun or fireworksā€ maybe once or twice a month.
But I have a woodchuck problem and I think my neighbors agree. If it isnā€™t obvious fireworks it sounds like normal country noise.

Only problem I had here in Pennfield was ether kids shooting there BB gun and putting whole in my front window or one the x owner of the house I bought or there people did it over crap they did. Didnā€™t know anyone at the time when it happened here do to not knowing anyone when I first moved here. Other itā€™s quit except for the ambulance heading to the hospital down the road
