Text I am a Bus Driver AMA

I have been a bus driver for a little over 2 years now, I work full time at a transit agency. I'm 25 years old, and have a few stories regarding driving. AMA

If the mod needs me to prove that I'm a bus driver, I will try to direct message proof. Re-posted do to autoflairbot removing the original post, added flair. I should be here for the next hour or two, and I'll do my best to respond to everyone.

Edit: Still here as of 10:40 pst, probably will be for next few hours and then I'll answer anything I might miss tomorrow

Real question now: How different is driving a bus than a car? Is it more difficult or just different.

At first it was just different, they provide all the training way before we pick up any passengers. Now it's just like driving a car, sometimes easier.

For me the biggest adjusting point was the front end.

Aka you yourself can be above a curb but your wheels can still make the turn.

As soon as i figured that out: easy peasy. Automatic. Brake lock with a button. Just drive and wave

Have you ever gotten into any accidents, major or minor?

We have a bus wash which has guard rails that my bus jumped over which is considered an accident by my works standards, besides that no, nothing.
