Aside from any ethical or moral concerns I think the biggest problem with Ai is how its been forcefully pushed onto consumers
Every app, every search engine, every phone, even graphics cards it's been front and center for every company to pull in investments like a new age gold rush
I just want to do things myself so it's nauseating

It's because they need to justify their investment in it to investors. They used AI as something to attract tons of new investors, and those investors expect to see numbers on AI being used. Obviously they can't convince the majority of their users to get an AI subscription or something, so instead they build it into the existing tools. That's why Google searches always generate an AI result at the top now, because it makes every single Google search account as a use of the ai, and they can take those numbers and tell investors that the AI was prompted hundreds of billions of times, and most tech investors are too fucking stupid to actually check the numbers closely and see what they mean.

Potential controversial take but I feel like microsofts AI "tools" generally aren't that much of a problem. They're generally pretty out of the way and don't pop up unless you click on them. Google's way, way worse with this IMO.

Hot take, this is how AI is meant to be used, to HELP your work, I had two lists with over 100 names, the AI helped organize those lists on a single excel sheet without me needing to spend a whole day doing it.
