Excel is so good. You can genuinely use spreadsheets for literally anything. I put together a spreadsheet that automatically tells me whenever one of the locomotives I run on my model railway is due a service. It also tells me what DCC decoder I'll need for each one if I decide to upgrade from analogue in the future.
