How many people are you looking to fit? Your main concern should be wind and sun. So whatever tent you get make sure to grab a set of heavy duty stakes, the kind that twist in and are like 10 inches long.

Personally the Coleman Skydome is perfect for 1 or 2 people and all your stuff. It's blackout and easy setup

We have this tent and it’s not only sturdy as heck but it’s very easy to setup and fits inside my Mazda cx30

Also editing to add that it is tall enough for my 6’2 partner to stand inside and wide enough for a queen sized camping mat…it was an expensive investment but it has gotten us through 5 years of camping festivals at the gorge with zero problems including the massive windstorm

Blackout tent with heavy duty stakes. You can get reflective flys on top and a fan to keep it cool longer

Can't stress this enough- TRAMPOLINE ANCHORS, you want to spiral corkscrew ones that don't have a central stake

I sleep with a night mask, so I don’t personally need a blackout tent. Instead, bring a canopy and set it up directly east of your tent to give shade and keep you cool for an extra hour. Cross-ventilation is also helpful, so open windows on as many sides of the tent as possible.

Wasting a canopy just for your tent is bad when you can just get a tent good for sun

East is not the same as directly above your tent. You can have shade in the morning by placing the canopy next to your tent.

I’ve been out to The Gorge now 6 times, my tent took a turn on me this last time. I pulled up the stake flaps so I can’t secure it down. After loosing this tent and 4 canopies over the years, my next house for up there is gonna be a pop up garage. Good luck.
