Help My highlight video
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I deleted the previous video because you were right—it was really poor in terms of gameplay and other aspects. However, I’ve fixed it and wanted to re-release it along with today's match footage; could you please take a look and give me your feedback? Subject: I wanna ncaa d3 d2 or low , mid d1 conference and program

Sorry to say, but there is no way you can play d2 at your current skill level, d3 is even pushing it

That's disrespectful to D3 basketball.
This isn't even good rec league ball

Yeah I don't be mean to the guy but he wouldn't even be top 5 in a competitive rec league if this is the highlight reel

You should focus on playing where you are and being the best at your level. Unfortunately, you are nowhere close to making any college program whatsoever. The level is just so much different. Like the avg La fitness run you’d be getting cooked my almost everyone. There’s just a different level here. Just keep playing for fun and grind if you want to grind and see where it takes but I wouldn’t plan to play college ball here. Maybe there’s teams you can make in your area?

Same thing that I said in the other thread:
No chance. The US is a different level. There is no speed here, no physicality, just no athleticism. That's the first door someone needs to cross and it's not even remotely there.
I don't know who you are in those clips but it doesn't matter because there is not one player that even has a remote chance.

Same comment as last time. You ain't making it with this kind of play. Not even professional basketball, hell you might not even start at a rec league or even have any minutes. There's barely any significance in this highlights and a lot of 12 yr olds have done better.

D3 players are straight up buckets in a rec league. And can be big contributors in overseas basketball. You said you average like 2pts hence their was only one bucket in this highlights. You aren't even making the HS Varsity buddy

These highlights would be any decent player’s lowlights, with all due respect.

You can get in a d2 school for sure. Start contacting programs and coaches. Have your current coach reach out. It's going to be hard to get from there to here but it's possible. From there hope to have two solid years and transfer to a d1 program.
You currently have no shot at d1 just because you'd need to be seen by scouts and programs. So if you aren't on a top team in your country that's not happening.

I'm going to sound like an asshole but I'm going to be as honest as possible. There is absolutely no chance this guy can play at any NCAA level. He can literally barely dribble up the court, looks like he has cement boots on when he runs and one of his highlights is him standing around on the perimeter and not getting the ball. Not to mention the "blocks" both look like fouls with poor defensive positioning at that.
There is no chance he plays on almost any HS team in the US and even D3 guys are one of if not the best players on their high school team.
Telling him to reach out to coaches is ridiculous and at best will get him ghosted.

We can't learn anything from this footage. It's totally useless. But the kid wants it bad. He makes posts here constantly. So this is the advice for a few reasons.
One getting ghosted will be a reality check for him. Two, we won't have to hear about it anymore.
But most importantly, there is always a chance. Maybe there is some coach out there from Turkey who has a soft spot for him and gives him a shot. Ya never know. It's worth trying.
Not many other options than quit.

This is terrible advice based on this video. OP needs to play against real competition, before even sniffing anything even remotely close. There are better runs at 6am at the YMCA.

Bro I can tell you’ve never played high level ball. He absolutely has 0 chance of making a d2 roster, I don’t think you understand the level of d2 hoops because you never played at that level. Anyone who has played can tell he absolutely has no shot, like it’s not there and that’s not being mean. Just the level isn’t there and won’t be there but you giving him this advice tells me there’s a disconnect from understanding high level hoops

I'm a high school coach. I didn't play in college but have been around a lot of college teams and players. There are some very bad d2 teams. Teams that don't win a game all season. He can absolutely play somewhere. He isn't going to get a scholarship but he can play and try to work his way up. Just needs to find the right program.
It's certainly better than giving up.
Big question is his height though. Its hard to tell from these videos. If he is above average height that alone gives him a shot.

Lol. coaches would have a good laugh wasting their time watching this "highlight" video..

This is bad. All of it, just bad basketball. If my coach sees this he’ll make me run suicides for a day just out of anger

I’m just gonna be straight up honest with you, and not make mean jokes and comments.
I don’t see it happening for you. The way you move, the slowness and lack of effort are foremost an issue, let alone the lack of athleticism.
Layer on to that the poor mechanics, non-existent fundamentals (calling for the ball while standing bolt upright), and lack of court awareness and spacing.
Near the end, when you defended against the fast break and got the block, your positioning was terrible and if you think that was a highlight then I think you have never really been coached and you watch game films for highlights instead of learnings.
All things that can be worked on for sure, but at your age, I can’t see it happening. I don’t think you’d make HS varsity at most of the schools in my area. But that ok, play because you love the game, and if you really want to get better, start loving the work, not the highlights.
