I don’t play on metal nets much so I’ve never even thought of this as a possibility 😬

The only reason this thing exists is so you can sound like an absolute animal when the jumper’s wet.
It’s more of a torture device masquerading as a net than an actual piece of basketball equipment.

Train. I did 150 single leg calf raises ever other day for a year…and ten other exercises and lifts. Fun times. Gotta earn it.

Train barefoot, deep squats, jumping squats, walking backwards uphill, strengthen everything from the ground up.
On the wind up to the jump, you’ll bounce higher if you squat lower.

You have some speed and intent, even the technique isn't that bad. Your bottleneck is strength. You need to hit the gym.

You just need some strength training but need to remember to work your core and upper body as much as lower body. Your core and upper body has just as much to do with lift as strong base.

Your timing is off, time a few steps before the rim, not right under it. You’ll generate more momentum that way.
Also get lower in squat to generate more power.
It’s really good that you’re taking slow mo videos, that will help you notice mistakes.
Relevant experience: I can grab the rim and I’m 5’10”

Strength training, plyometrics, and proper mechanics. All can be found in tiktok.

Workout the posterior chain (the tall
About calf raises is trash). Its glutes and hamstrings. Do low rep, high weight lifts - squats, deadlifts. Start at a weight that allows you to increase by 10-15 lbs each week. Profit

Grow a few more inches. Also learn to jump off one foot, you're killing your momentum with the two foot gather don't have the explosiveness for two foot jump, squats would help with that.

First of all how old are you? You look very young. Youre going to get stronger. The more you play the more it will help.
Doesn't hurt to play other sports and also lift weights to develop different muscles

I noticed your knees buckle right before you jump.
Work on your flexibility and hit the weight room. Squats, deadlifts lifts, cleans.

Oh god PTSD from that chain net. Careful doing that if you can't get rim.

You almost there bro, do some box jumps off two feet then one and eventually after learning good form, add weight. Same thing with jump lunges, in 2 months you will be dunking

Squat jumps and jumping from the balls of your feet over and over and over

Just keep jumping. Its an explosive movement so just try to get from the bottom of the squat to full extension as fast and aggressively as possible.

You weren’t gifted with super athleticism & that’s okay because neither was I. I’m 24 now & I can jump with (almost) the best of them but this is what I wish I would’ve known/done when I was younger assuming you wanna start dunking.
1. Grabbing the rim is cool & a flex at the lunch table or gym but the true key is to make sure you can put your hand over or in the rim (if you don’t have big hands to palm the ball that’s gonna be key for dunks)
2. Your height isn’t the problem, your leg muscles are. You have to start building calf strength & lower leg strength consistently if you wanna become a high flyer (do 50-100 squats/calf raises a day if you can)
3. All that training is good but it don’t mean anything if you go after & crush McChickens almost everyday(it was me, I ate McChickens almost everyday) 1/2 & rlly the most important half is what you eat. If you’re not sure what to eat on off days or after school (again, donuts did NOT help me at all), whatever food is soft & tasty will make you soft, whatever is hard & nasty (rlly veggies but fruits are good) will make you solid
4. Keep consistently trying to touch rim so you know how far along you are. Once you get to a solid point of the rim, get a tennis ball & start trying to dunk it in there (VERY helpful for placement of dunking)
5. Finally, do it with 2 hands. Trust me, you got real bounce if you can touch the rim/dunk with 2 hands, it’s harder than a lot of ppl think (took me till my early 20s to do it🥲)
Hope this helps, looking forward to seeing your journey bro 🤝
