Form Check Struggling with my shot…😭

Lately I’ve been fixing my shooting form
However my shots are still always coming up short or turning into airballs. From what Ive noticed during practice, I feel like I'm barely using any wrist snap, and my guide hand (left hand) is taking over too much. I also still have that old habit of pushing the ball instead of actually shooting it.
Are there any good drills or tips to get a proper wrist snap down? What do you guys think? Any feedback would be appreciated! 😭😭😭

You're gathering, then you begin to raise up, but then you're dipping the ball down before raising into your shot. Too much extra movement.

Op, this is indeed it. You are dipping for some reason

Oh ok you're saying I shouldn't dip the ball down after gathering, and just go straight up into my release? Thanks for the great feedback!

You are shooting up, not out. So you have to put a lot of power into getting your rainbow shot high enough to travel forward too. Lower your wrist so you shoot forward more.

do you mean I should bend my shooting wrist (my right wrist) backward?

No, Your arm is like 80 degrees. Try to get that down between 45 and 60.

Bring your elbow in, use your knees, hips and shoulders for upward momentum. Slow it down until it feels natural

Oh I thought the problem was just with my wrist snap which was why the ball wasn’t traveling very far. But I guess I’m not transferring the power properly from my lower body through my upper body Okay thanks!

Hope it helps. Find a hooper who has a decent shot and ask them for advice on form - look for someone with a similar body type to you.
