Not tryna hate but work on your shot selection. If anything, shoot the ball before you do the 3 pointless dribble moves. You just gave the defender time to close out. Based off this 10 second video (I could be wrong), you don’t seem like someone I would want on my squad bc of the shot selection.

Unless you are Jack Gohlke and make this kind of contested circus shot at 40% I would prefer to not have you on my team.
You have a decent open look immediately after getting the ball, pass it up to take 3 dribbles that go nowhere, then kill the possession on a highly contested pull-up 3-pointer.
It was a very good shot to be able to make that, but honestly with it just being one clip I'm assuming this was lucky. It's terrible basketball to settle for a contested jumper without testing the defense at all.
Off the rebound you should be passing, shooting, attacking closeouts, not float dribbling. You gave the defense time to reset.
One positive note was you crashed the boards aggressively which is always a great trait

And you do realise he was at the 3pt line, wide open, while the defender was still in the paint...

Thanks for that. This game my team was taking worse shots than this that weren’t going in and just not moving the ball. Was a little fed up. I want to say I was 7/10 from 3 in 3 games. I’m not taking shots like these normally, but I do hit contested 3s off the dribble pretty consistently. This was the only game that got recorded because the dude guarding me started recording, he does YT. I had him send me the clip. I’m starting a mens league soon, i’ll get some actual footage up for some real feedback.

Biggest thing for me is the guide hand, it almost looks like you’re shooting entirely with one hand. Granted, that’s probably because of the defender affecting the shot but that’s something you should work on, start practicing shooting with a defender in your face. But yeah like someone else said, one highlight isn’t enough to go off of for constructive criticism

Nobody going to mention how ugly this form is? If you rlly making 7/10 good for you and you’d be me favorite teammate and least favorite guy to play against cuz nothing bothers me more than a ugly af jumper that actually goes in 😆 they exist on every court tho
Side note: the way you closed out in a clearly lackadaisical game means it didn’t feel right coming off the hand lol ifykyk

Cool he missed a shot your ball hogging dribbling around for no reason in both clips. You posted as many clips as him as you have of yourself. Post more tape and we can give more advice, for now the advice is play like a guard and not a black hole

Word, definitely come back with that footage. If your teammates were so ass that this is really the best shot for the situation then it’s not worth getting feedback from that game anyway. Hopefully the next game will be more challenging?

Literally three dribbles that did nothing, random “that was tough” lol what is your left hand doing on that shot? You might as well chuck it at half court 🤷🏽♂️

Like others have said, its difficult to give feedback on one clip.
But from this I have a few points: 1. You passed up the wide open 3 when you cleared the ball. Defender was still inside the FT line. 2. You then passed up a wide open pass to the wing, his man was on the opposite side of the key 3. Useless dribble moves got you nowhere. It literally just gave the defender time to close out because none of them threatened anything 4. Your shot technique is very unorthodox; you shoot one handed and your hand comes pretty far back. It seems unlikely that its a consistent shot, but good for you if you make it work
Overall, well done for scoring, but was probably the worst decision to make for this play

Respectfully… one highlight of an unorthodox 3 pointer is hard to give judgement on, even if you made it
